John: Just like everyone else I bought new fancy nozzles every year that always broke and leaked. These are basic metal sprayers that seem to be indestructible. Even better they seem to increase water volume and pressure better than any other nozzle I ever had. The water seems to go out stronger and go further than before. I would buy these nozzles again but I suspect I won't need to. Bonus: they remind me of my childhood and the hose nozzles my grandfather and father used.

Not sure I understand the negative reviews about the water pressure, when you press, the water pressure is strong. When you don’t press so hard you get less pressure…not rocket science.

ManBehindTheCurtain: This review is about the multi-pattern nozzle (with the green plastic face).

We do a lot of hose-end watering, dog washing, etc. I've purchased a wide variety of pistol-style hose-end nozzles trying to find one that's durable. None lasted more than about a month, until the Melnor. It's well-constructed from superior materials. The body is metal and the spray selector (green face) is heavier-duty plastic than most, with the outer edge mounted flush with the gun body, which I believe makes it less prone to breaking when you drop it on the ground after use. It also passes a large volume of water through the gun - very little pressure / volume loss at full trigger.

The ONLY reason I didn't give it five stars is that the selection of spray modes is a little limited compared to other products. But it covers the basics. So if you don't need 15 different spray modes, I HIGHLY recommend it. Hands down, the highest quality most durable multi-select hose end nozzle I've found to date - even though it's literally HALF the price of it's less-durable competitors.
