jil: Motor is very quiet, you can only hear the gears turning when you put it right up to your ear.
Housing is plastic, but looks like a pearlized metal.
Cute, retro feel, we bought one in blue and one in pink.
Great sounding alarm that increases in volume.
Super easy to use, we love them!

Debbi Bussell: I bought this clock just for the night light. If I have to get up during the night it’s so easy to just push the top and then the light goes on and I can see the time. It’s not too bright. It’s also a cute little clock.

warriorbard: Actually, it does tick, but not loudly enough to keep me awake. I tend to notice it when I'm in bed, but fully awake (reading, for instance). But it's a quiet, whispery little tick. The alarm is loud enough to wake me, but doesn't blast me out of bed. A light comes on if you touch the top of the clock. I had another of this clock, but the light gave up fairly soon. My husband adopted that one, so I ordered another for me. So far, no problems.

But because it's an analog clock, not digital, it's hard to set the alarm on a precise time. For example, if I want the alarm to go off at 9:30, I try to put the little marker halfway between 9 and 10, but I may actually be setting it on 9:15 or 9:45. However, after using it awhile, you get a good sense of just where to set it, so not really a problem. And I think it's kind of adorable, with its curvy, retro style, and its pretty shade of blue.

Gabe: Love everything about this alarm clock. I reviewed so many clocks online before purchasing this one and am very happy with my choice. Design is retro and looks quality made . Time is very accurate and the button on top shows lighted dial at night as needed to check the time. Overall a super quality clock for a reasonable price and fast shipping . Numbers are very easy to read as well. Thumbs up !

Jennifer B.: This clock is really cute to look at, but I don't like the functionality of it. I don't use the snooze feature on any alarm clock and the travel alarm clocks I've used in the past didn't even have a snooze feature. This one does and it utilizes the top bar that you press down for the snooze feature. On other travel clocks the top bar is to show that the alarm is set to go off and you press the bar down to turn off the alarm. With this alarm you can't tell by looking at it if the alarm is set or not, you have to pick it up and turn it around and look at the back switch which turns the alarm on & off. You have to do the same thing to turn off the alarm each morning after it's woken you up. Try doing that when you are half asleep and annoyed at having to get up, and if you have bad eyesight...forget about it. The markings on the back of the clock are impossible to read without reading glasses and even then are difficult to see.
Setting the alarm is the same as other travel clocks but this one was confusing because the paper with instructions on how to set the time and the alarm time contradict the markings on the back of the clock. You're supposed to turn the knobs...

Angie C.: UPDATE: I've had this clock since Nov. 2019. I've not had to replace the battery yet. I'm about to buy 2 more for my daughters going off to summer camp. It's super reliable (if I remember to set it). I've not been rough with it, so I've had no issues with it breaking, but I have dropped it on occasion. Also, I have to say, I often find myself grabbing this little clock and using its light to find my way around the room in order to not disturb hubby. Super handy in a unconventional way.

I wanted this clock to use as an alarm instead of my phone so I wouldn't spend all night scrolling. It's a great size (the palm of your hand) and price. The alarm is loud enough to get you up but not disturb the rest of the house. I did have to learn how to set this clock since I had never used one like this before. Just turn the small silver hand to the little corresponding dot on the face for the time you want to set the alarm. Pretty easy really. There's a snooze button on top that blends well into the design. It also acts as a light at night. It does not light up the entire face but just shines a light down onto the face. It's not the coolest light, but it works well enough. It doesn't...
