Sandy Choi: I bought this a while back as a back up. So I finally took it out to use and after the 2nd use in my garden, the shears could not close. I checked and the carbon Steele blade peeled? It’s either the coating , I’m not even sure. It peeled therefore the shears get stuck and getting close. I could not even get the Steele off. I may have to try loosened the bolt and see if it will solve the problem as I read someone else’s review.

Jerri: I will update this review after a few months to see how they hold up but are they are very heavy. Seem very well made. II love how long they are. I've never seen any this long before. You can trim without bending over. Maybe too heavy for some older people.

Rebecca Strayhorn: Unfortunately, the first pair of shears I received did not function properly. They would not close completely therefore, rendering them unusable. The replacement pair work well although heavier than I had thought they would be. Dear Martha: the fact that at least one of the employees in the production/packaging process knew the original shears did not function properly, but still packaged them for sale. js.
