Ariana: I would have given this 5 stars if the closing button worked...Is it just my bad luck or faulty products? In the past I had bought another Gonnic pruner and had the same problem, the closing button didn`t work. It bothers me because, in the open position, it`s impossible to put it in my pocket while doing other jobs, what a shame, I`ll have to try other sellers

Dianne: This is a great garden tool. It locks easily, fits perfectly comfortable in the hand and is very strong and sharp. I was able to cut down a rose bush with this instead of using loppers. Great product!!

Elliott: Great little anvil-style clipper. Much lighter than my old one (20 yrs old?). Very sharp and cuts great. The locking mechanism is easy to use, secure, and works well.

First one came and there was a slight misalignment between the blade and anvil. Wasn't sure if it would be a problem. I sent them a photo to inquire, and they immediately sent me a new one without having to go through Amazon. Not even sure it needed replacing but they were great. They really mean it when they say lifetime warranty and 100% customer satisfaction. Very pleased.

直径2センチ(1円玉くらい)の幹でしたがさっくり切れました。

使い方？などは台紙の裏面に英語の説明があるのみです。
読めなかったので、ロックの解除に一瞬混乱しましたが、持ち手にある黒いやつを上(刃の方)にあげるだけでした。
買ってよかったです。

Il s'agit d'une copie d'un NOVATEC acheté au concours Lépine voilà 15 ans ... copie moins efficace que l'originale (lame moins "dure", verrouillage moyen).

Isa63290: Coupe facilement les grosses branches,mais tout ce qui est fin, plus difficile à couper. Pas très ergonomique.

Since then, the Manf. has reached out, and sent me a new set of shears, and asked if I would update my review based on the new product. I have since done so, and updated my review to 5 stars. Not only is it an excellent set of pruning sheers, the company went WAY out of their way to make up for the initial bad product. I'm very impressed.**

The new set of shears were a much more durable design. The are equally as sharp, but after hours of cutting finger width branches, the shears still had a nice, tight feel. After hours of use, they feel just as good as when they were first opened.

Very impressed with both the product, and the company willing to stand behind it. Leaving the original, one-star review below.

BadDog: Just opened them tonight, haven't had a chance to use them yet. Why the 2 star review then? Should I give them a chance first? Frankly, this assumes they do cut at least as well as described. From here, I expect actual use could only cause it to go down. 2 things were obvious as soon as I took the out of the package. First, they are quite stiff and aren't even close to opening on their own. Maybe they will loosen up with use, but that wasn't a problem with my other hand shears. And one thing I can't stand is having to open them manually for every cut. If they don't "wear in" and start opening very soon, they will go in the trash. Second is somewhat a matter of principle. Did anyone else read the rating that specified "up to 1 inch"? You can't even get a 1" dowel between the jaws if you force them open by hand, much less CUT a 1" branch. And most shears max cut is well back from the jaw tips as you get more leverage. Assuming they cut as well as described, and in order to get far enough between the jaws to actually cut a limb fully, I'm guessing the max is actually closer to 3/4" in an ideal world. And that's generally not the world I live in. I don't expect to be cutting anywhere...
