Todd RileyTodd Riley: I installed this unit in my 40' Safari Motor Home, works like a charm. When I ordered it I was concerned about it using batteries for power and had planned to wire in an adapter but after 4 months of constant use we're still on the first two batteries. Ample hot water we never have it turned right up it gets more than you can handle at about 75% and for showers I turn it down to around 30%. Great unit for the price you can't go wrong!

Connie: I have a very basic off-grid second home with an open outdoor shower. The old hot water heater there when I moved in was shot. Seemed like I had all the conditions (good water pressure, separate hot and cold water controls in the shower. etc.) that would make an on-demand hot water system be a good choice. One of my neighbors had a Marey On-demand (installed in a box outside his house) already there when he moved in and was happy with it. I researched and found the Marey GL 10LP had good reviews and was within my budget, so I purchased. My handyman neighbor installed it for me in the small shed where the old hot water heater had been and connected to the original plumbing for the shower with no problems. I've been using the Marey for a few months now whenever I'm at my second home. Only problem has been that when I turn on the cold to adjust the temperature, the hot often turns off, I think because the water pressure to the hot inlet decreases. I solved this by easily adjusting the gas so the hot water comes out at a comfortable temperature and I don't use the cold at all. I2m really happy with it and would recommend to others.

Greg Burgess: Balancing the hot water with the cold was a little trying but it's ok now. We are on a well and sometimes when the pump kicks on the hotwater unit shuts off. We assume it's a pressure issue but it's our problem not that of the product. Just went through 24 hours of no electricity but with our generator for the water supply it was fantastic to have the water heater use 2 "D" cell batteries.

Rumi: I am updating my review after struggling with this piece of plastic for one year. It works fantastically in the kitchen sink but I never get a hot shower in the bathroom. I tried all the tricks I learned from customers review but none worked for me. I tried all sort of settings but bathroom is still cold. I am sending this to junkyard and upgrading to something that actually work. Bought this for my cabin. It worked just fine. We did not use it for entire winter and just fired it up last week but it did not come back up. Put a brand new batteries. The battery compartment is really bad design. It is very difficult to remove batteries from the battery panel. I had to struggle for an hour and finally got it out but then could not remove it again. Fortunately, the battery worked and we got the hot water. I wish they improve the battery panel design next time. Overall, it is a good product for a cabin or RV.

arncas: Easy to install except for exhaust pipe.
Double wall 3" exhaust pipe is just hard to work with and expensive. Of course this would be the same for any water heater.
Be careful connecting the gas. I overtightened it and broke off the nipple. Marey sent me a replacement wich took removing a couple of screws to replace.
The unit works well for my small cabin with 1 sink and 1 shower.
I had to set the season for winter and the flow rate to minimum to get it to work.
The LED display is nice and shows the temperature.
It will get very hot, I stopped at 145 F and then backed it down (reducing the flame) to keep the children from burning themselves by accident.
You must be careful to drain the unit, there is a drain valve, if leaving it over the winter in a location with freezing temperature. The last unit I had froze and the water intake and some of the boiler tubing split. My fault but be aware.
Marey was very responsive in sending me replacement part for the broken gas intake.

Jodi: I live off grid and this is the second Marey Tankless Water Heater we have purchased. This water heater is great for off grid living however I want to point out a few things. You must have adequate water pressure from your pump in order to get the temperature regulated. Unfortunately for myself my pump is not big enough, so I either get cold or scalding hot water. Scalding hot water works for me at the moment until we upgrade our pump. Knobs are made cheaply. This unit supplies hot water to only 3 taps which are close together in a small cabin. All 3 hot water taps are not used at the same time.
BEWARE, this heater is installed inside and it needs to be vented outside. Venting hose and caps are not included with this unit. So make sure you have a place you can buy them from. Also, cold air comes in from the exhaust vent and it FROZE our 1st Heater and cracked the inside. Therefore, we now hookup the exhaust venting when we use the heater and WE DONT FORGET to UNHOOK the venting when it's not in use.

DrMergatroid: If you expect this thing to heat the water for your "Whole House," you are going to be disappointed.
On the other hand if your needs are one reasonably hot shower with a nice flow and/or a sink with hot water this is the unit for you.
This unit is perfect for one outdoor shower. The heater must be located outdoors according to code in my area, so you can't even use it in a house in most jurisdictions. For a Cabin, Hunter's or Poolside Shower, it delivers an endless stream of nice hot water. Yes, you can fill up your hot tub too.
The heater can only heat the water up so much as it passes through, so if you have extremely cold water going in you may wish to get a bigger unit.
Beware of Freeze! You will ruin the core quickly if you let water freeze in it.
Durability: decent but not great. Think cheap chinese: just good enough. Don't torque on the water and gas connections with your brute strength or you can easily snap them off as you tighten them.
Other than those many issues, this thing is cheap, quick and easy solution to many camper's problems.

Paul White: Lovely looking machine. Bought it in April of 2020 and had the RV at the park so we did not get it installed that year. The next year, 2021, we got a technician to install it but could not get it to heat up. Bought a 20 lb regulator from Amazon to see it perhaps it needed more pressure to light up. Started a couple of times and then stopped. We wanted to go camping so we had to put it on hold for that year. This year the same technician tried again but no luck. The other day I took the RV to another technician and he worked at it. Had it going 3 times and then he tried it again and could not get it to heat the water up again. The man says it looks like it is not getting the full gas pressure. He thinks there is a problem within the unit. There is a 5 year warranty on it and I would like to get a replacement for it.
