Marc B.: The unit easy to install, great looks and good value for your $. the only thing I have a probleme with is the water temperature for the shower that does not go below 113 F. It is to hot for a shower. I have contacted Camplux and waiting for a solution.

Kathleen W.: I bought a year ago. 7 months in leaks out of the intake rubber gasket diaphragm. Warranty is a joke dont bother. If your gonna buy a instant hot water heater buy 100-160 dollar one. The internals are identical to this higher priced one. All china built. Good luck.

UPDATE: After my above review the company reached out to me and asked about my unit. After a few pics of the leak they sent me a brand new hot water heater. That is what I consider top customer service. Thank you Camplux.

David: Would’ve given 5 star, but two things that I was displeased with. 1.) this did not have a handle for carrying or hanging like others. 2.) regulating the heat is a bit cumbersome. We use this for a shower at our property in the woods. First weekend 5 people showered twice a day. We set the temp the first morning and all 5 of us had great hot shower. The evening was a little problematic, we had to change the settings it was cold then super hot. That is my only real issue, I was hoping to set it and forget it, but you need to adjust it every time to ensure no scalding or freezing. I would recommend this product it does work great once adjusted.

Justaguy: *This is giing to be a fairly long story. In a nutshell, Camplux has the worst customer service that I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with (think cable company times ten). Read on if you want the story, but stay away frim this company.

The heater itself worked pretty well, fairly easy o install and operate. I've had mine a little over a year for a yurt that I stay in about half the time. The water comes from a well with really good pressure and volume.
A little over two weeks ago, it suddenly stopped putting out hot water. I switched to new batteries and a new tank without any luck. I sent an email to camplux explaining the symptoms and the basic troubleshooting and didn't hear back for a couple of days, so I decided to give them a call. Welcome to the phone tree loop of hell... I tried back a couple of time that day without any luck. Three days later,(still no reply to my email)I got in touch with a very nice human. He suggested I switch the input/output and backslash the system. I was really thankful that he was willing to stay on the line and walk me through a couple of other troubleshooting tips. Lex: I use this to heat my 18' circular intex pool, completely in violation of this item's warranty. Works great!

I'm able to add a degree or more per hour to the pool even on medium-low heat. The 2gpm model would probably be more than enough.

Each tank of propane can heat the pool about 5-6 degrees. That means this thing goes through propane _very_ quickly. You'd better be dedicated to the idea of paying to heat your pool. I'm going to try getting my tanks filled at uhaul.

Mine does not seem to have a 20-minute shutoff. I've run it for hours at a time. If it did, simply interrupting the flow of water for a second or two is all that's needed, from what I gather.

It came with adapters that let me hook up garden hoses to both the input and the output. The adapters are marked "3/4 NPT". This is a lie. They are most definitely 3/4 GHT which is not the same!

The female adapter is a total PITA to use because it doesn't rotate freely like a normal garden hose female connector. Do yourself a favor and buy hose ends and make a 1ft length of hose. You can easily screw that into the female adapter and then use its free-rotating female connector to connect to the...

Amazon Customer: This heater worked extremely well for one month. I was using it to fill an outdoor cedar barrel bathtub in my garden area. The flow was good and temperature control was adequate to the task. Just after the first month, my wife was heading out to check the temperature and told me "flames are shooting out the side of the heater, is it supposed to do that?" Sure enough, flames were indeed shooting out the side of the heater and starting the cedar tub on fire as well. I was able to save the tub, but the heater was melted down internally. We will have to see how the company responds to this. At a bare minimum I would hope to have the unit replaced, but wow, a lot of really life changing damage could be done from an event like that with a water heater.

Amazon Customer: This water heater is great for off-grid applications. The heat output is amazing. Installation is straightforward. It does not need any external power making it great for backyard or more rustic installations. Setup was simple. The only issue we encountered was that it does not come with a rain cap and the flue is not a standard size. But a little jury rigging and we had a rain cap on it. Customer support is amazing. Fast and helpful. Have not experienced that in a while. It was because of the great customer service that I took the time to write this. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because of the rain cap issue.
