MarCoolTrip MZ ABS Stimulator Ab Machine: Tone Your Core with Abdominal Toning Belt Workouts

Dawn S. Jackson: I never write reviews, but I wanted to share my ab machine journey. I tried two other, lower priced products before this one. They were both the kind that required the gel pads. Both worked out of the box fine for about 30 days. After that, the machine started to mildly shock without the muscle stimulation. Ah, time to change/add the gel pads. Only the gel pads sucked. The product never returned to the muscle stimulation benefit of the first month. Plus, the gel pads required the product to be stored in a cool place (I use the stimulator on my drive to work and would prefer to leave in the car rather than carry into work).

This product is great. It doesn't use gel pads. It comes with a small water spritzer (the directions say wet the surface, though I'm not sure it's necessary). After 2 months, I've experienced no degradation in the product capability. I've moved from level 7 to level 10, so I know my ab muscles are getting stronger. While I haven't tracked the data, I believe my waste line has also shrunk. If you are super heavy and looking for a miracle, I can't comment on whether this is useful. Setting expectations is important, and it's important to note that by themselves, muscle stimulators don't do much of anything for weight loss. However, they DO tend to improve the strength and tone of the muscles they target. Abs are notoriously difficult to work properly without risking back injury, so this serves as both a good workaround and a way to get one's core to a point where it becomes easier to maintain proper form. While knocking out a set of crunches isn't something I'll ever remember to do on the daily, it's incredibly easy to strap on a belt for 20 minutes while, say, checking emails and social media before work, or maybe while reading before bed, or while playing video games. And it's gotten to a point where 2-3 times a day doesn't feel at all unreasonable.

As for drawbacks, the main one is finding the comfort level. The product comes with a little water spray bottle perfect for applying a light mist. If the skin contact is too dry, it'll produce a hot burning sensation long before any muscles are stimulated. I highly, highly advise you to not buy this item. Please read all the negative reviews and take them seriously, they all note that this thing isn't durable and now I see that they were all correct. Do not buy this item unless you're fine with replacing it a few times a year.

I have owned this thing for about 5 months, and while I had positive things to say about it at first (which you can read in my original review below), I am extremely frustrated because its performance has totally and suddenly degraded, to the point where it is no longer really usable at all.

I use(d) this belt twice a day for 4-5 days a week, making sure to wipe off sweat and charge it at least once a week. Everything was fine, until about a week ago. Suddenly the strength of the vibrations became significantly weaker. I was on the 6th mode at 15 strength for a while, and I grew very familiar with how it felt. Now the 15 strength feels like how 5 strength used to feel, and anything under 10 strength barely tickles.
