Aaron C Teare: It's a weird time we are all living in... no surprise everyone is buying easy-to-use digital monitors. I wanted a non-contact digital thermometer that I can use at home or take on the go. I chose this one because of the convenience of switching from F to C. Other models I looked at required a flipping a switch under the battery and/or restarting the thermometer. This model has a convenient switch to toggle back and forth quickly between the two measurements. Batteries were included, which is nice. There is a memory function that is handy if you're monitoring high temperatures over time. The LCD color backlights keep it fun for my kid, who likes to see his temp is green. We also use the surface mode to test the bottle temp when heating milk for our newborn. Good price and value.

C. Abe: I wanted to get a non-contact thermometer because my work requires that I check my temp. every morning before heading in to the office. I didn’t want one that I have to wait 8-10 seconds for a reading.

What I appreciate is that the manufacturer listed accuracy variance of .4 degrees, which is not bad for a non-contact forehead thermometer.

The thermometer is extremely easy to use. I unwrapped the AAA battery put it in the battery compartment and pull the trigger and the thermometer was turned on and ready to go. The device turns off automatically after 30 seconds.

Amazon Shopper: We own several of these no contact thermometers and this one is the most well thought out version we have experienced! The lights make it super easy to know if there's a problem with body temps. I wanted to use this one because I have a laser designed version not meant for reading humans foreheads and I don't want to point a laser near the eyes. My other contact free human temp thermometer only reads humans and is not designed to read anything else. This one does what the others do, but does it as an all in one unit instead of needing several devices.
This unit is light weight and fast and accurate and super simple so anyone can enjoy not stressing out by using it. I'll probably give my other one to my daughter.
I remember using the old school glass and mercury thermometers under my tongue for minutes to get a body temp. My last updated version of those was much safer and digital, but keeping a probe under your tongue is not fun and a waste of time thanks to these contact free thermometers. So glad to get one that does it all!
Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just for moms and baby milk like the title suggests. This one is a keeper.

RainerRainer: I got this Mami & Babi purple Non-Contact Forehead Thermometer, Model HW-F7, because I want to hang with my friends while maintaining a healthy degree of paranoia. I've cross-tested it with other thermometers, and it seems to be quite accurate, not to mention much faster, and obviously safer than the older tech if you wanna socialize :)

1) Solid build with good trigger motion
2) Very nice readout with large numbers. Also, I wasn't expecting the cool green/orange/red color-coded visuals based on temperature ranges. Nice touch.
3) Farenheit/Celsius. I'm personally a Farenheit guy, but my Canadian friend insists on her Celsius. So, this thing is actually teaching me the equivalency whether I like it or not
4) There's an option to measure liquid temperature. If you are a coffee or tea perfectionist, you're going to appreciate this feature. Just make sure to switch it back to human mode if you're taking your own temp.
5) Temperature betting: this is not an advertisted feature and I would not recommend this degenerate behavior. But don't be shocked if you and your so-called friends start betting on the temperatures of things...
