Mainstay Metal Arm Futon with 6-inch Foam Mattress - Perfect for Seating and Sleeping

Mari LaNenaMari LaNena: The futon is just okay. You get what you pay for. I should've bought something that was of better quality. It has only been a few months and I think I already need a new mattress as it is starting to feel a little flat. Also, one of the metal pieces under the futon mattress already broke (I'm hoping that more don't break or this will be a loss). Given the price, if I can make it last a full year, I would say I got my moneys worth.

Aleksandr Strovanovich: Easy assembly, low price, firm pads, minimalistic style, it couldn't get any better.. I could tell by looking at the pads they were not gonna last long, i figured a year year and a half maybe, but they end up entirely useless after a few months of use! Mainstays aka Walmart only includes these so they don't have to sell just a frame, but I would take even a 100 dollar price increase to add decent mattress pads instead of having to end up with a bed that is almost impossible to sleep on (and a couch that's impossible to sit on) after a few months and now having to go spend more on a new set of actual pads! Spend the extra 1-200 for a higher quality futon! Unless you like unreliable mechanisms, squeaking, legs that don't stay fully tightened, plastic feet that will break within a week if you use have the futon on anything but carpet, the included pads to stop metal grinding on metal just crush into nothing very quickly.. absolutely nothing other than the price is appealing about this! Mainstays / Walmart as usual is just ripping people off with barely passable products and we the "consumerist" masses keep enabling it, amazin innit?

Paula Peterson: Everything was fantastic in the box when it arrived and especially the tools. The instructions were a bit confusing but the hardest part was putting it together because the screws had to be all hammered into the metal holes because they did not fit in the holes, and hammering into to metal was very difficult.
But all in all I give this product 9!
And even though it took me hours to put it together l would like to buy another one.
I love the 6inch cushions that came with this order but l think l would soon like to purchase more cushion because l am using this futon for a bed.

DH: So, I was very skeptical about purchasing this item after reading some of the reviews, but I think I got lucky. This futon is much larger than I thought, but I'm completely satisfied. Make sure you look at the directions intensely because there are two steps in the instructions where things can go awry (the steps when assembling the seat and back rest). If you follow the directions, you should have no problems in the end. Overall, I would recommend but I wish that the cushion or mattress had ties so that they can be secured on the frame because it slides a little.

Samantha Leisher: I have never seen a futon in my life that you have to click into position. All the futons we have had, you lift up and push. Done. This one. No. You have to crank the thing forward then down. When you lay in the middle it folded like a taco. And after 4 months the back gave out and you can’t even lean on it. It has to be against the wall now. It was easy to put together. But it broke. It’s not a real futon. And I’m ticked off.
