Lim Jahey: I had been wanting a telescopic rod and reel for awhile so i took a chance on this one because it was only 5 bucks more than just the rod itself. I set it up with 15 lb. Spiderwire stealth smooth (8 strand 125 yds.) and my trusty crankbait and was amazed at how effortless it was to cast at distances that put my other spinning reels to shame.

TheGoodStevenTheGoodSteven: I put the rod and reel together and put a weight only on, as I wanted to try the rod out before going on my fishing trip. And good thing I did; on my very first caste something felt odd and I noticed that one of the eyelets was dangling along the string. It had separated from the pole and I could see that the eyelets were only barely glued into place. I requested a replacement and specified that I only wanted a replacement pole, as I already filled the reel with line, which I didn't want to have to throw away or go through the hassle of transferring over to a spool, only to have to reline a new reel. I am hoping that I received a dud and we will see how their customer service is....
