Macally Wireless Bluetooth Mouse - Compatible with Mac, MacBook Pro / Air, iPad, and PC

Motorguy: i tried this mouse after having a USB-C connected mouse for my Macbook Pro, because that mouse was wearing out. This one looks just like the old one, but doesn't have a wire connection. It works very well in my application. Motion of the cursor is crisp and consistent and the buttons are responsive as is the scrolling wheel. The only issue is that the battery life is not terribly long. I consistently don't remember to turn it off when I close up the computer, so it is probably my fault.

L. Jones: I use this with my laptop. My hands can be a bit shakey, so I wanted to get an external mouse. It works very well except for the wheel. It is not smooth. When I first start to roll it, the display barely responds, then it jumps much further than I want it to. It is not precise. So I use the track pad on my laptop instead.

Ed: We bought the Macally mouse for our office as it's been a very reliable and affordable Bluetooth mouse. Once our Macbooks were updated to Sonoma, we've heard complaints of them not connecting. I tested two such mice and saw they still connect to Ventura just fine still, but will not complete the connection to Sonoma. I called the support number and went to voicemail. I am still waiting for an email response. Their website is only showing Ventura troubleshooting tips.
UPDATE: The company has reached out with support and offering for swap so changing to 4 stars as when it worked, it worked fine

JCLOWRIE33: It WAS a great mouse. I have Macbook pros and actually prefer these cheap mice (mouses, lol) over the over-designed mac mouse. IMO it's a bit of a design flaw to have put the rubber gasket around the scroll wheel. It eventually started to get slightly loose and stick. I ended up having to take the thing off just to get it to work. It's now a backup mouse sitting in my pile of wires. Logitech: put a solid scroll wheel on this and you have a better design.

C Jay: I’ve been using the wired version of this mouse for some time and love it. I decided to get the blue tooth version, at the Prime Day price, to get rid of cable clutter. Like many I had trouble pairing this with my Mac Mini using Ventura OS.

I called customer service and spoke to Sean and he was great. Fixed the problem right away.

He also emailed the solution:

Hi,

We are aware of the issue that the Bluetooth mouse has trouble pairing with Mac OS Ventura. We do have some fixes to solve this issue. Some of these may not work but one will.

1) System Preferences/Settings > Bluetooth > Pair the mouse > When a code is asked type in 0000 then click connect.

2) System Preferences/Settings > Bluetooth > Pair the mouse > When a code is asked click Okay.

3) System Preferences/Settings > Bluetooth > Pair the mouse > When a code is asked click Cancel. > If it is still pairing Click connect > type 0000.

4) System Preferences/Settings > Bluetooth > Pair the mouse > When a code is asked click Cancel. > If it is still pairing Click connect > Click on Okay.

Don’t avoid this mouse...
