This bird seed is great. It has completely reduced the waste and seed hills all over the ground. I used to see birds digging in the feed and casting out the millet and other seeds. Now the birds come up and grab a seed and fly away to eat in and then return for more. No more weeds growing under the feeder. Reduced squirrel activity as well.

I love that there's many different sizes and nuts and seeds in this! So many different sizes and types of birds come now! I also get squirrels everyday now which I never had before! I have to refill a bowl almost everyday, and I enjoy watching them all so much! It is a little messy and leaves little shells and crumbs all over but I just hose off around it.

I've been feeding the wild birds most of my life and I've tried lots of different brands...saw this and thought I'd try it too. I washed the feeders and decided to fill them inside the kitchen and had just done the floor, so I put them on towels and began to pour...when it came out, I looked at it and wondered what i had here...I saw it going IN the feeder and NONE on the towels and stopped again, got my glasses to make sure I had bird food and not a bag of nuts!! I was shocked bc it doesn't look like anything I've ever bought before!! And if/when it drops outside, NO WEEDS...yes, that's correct...none...no shells, no "dust"??? What on earth is this stuff..if you are looking for some awesome bird food at a good cost that attracts so many kinds of beautiful birds, THIS IS IT!!! You won't be sorry!

I think it would have helped if they had used different descriptive words than "seeds", or shown something in the pictures to give scale. I thought these were smaller seeds, such as I found in other mixes. Sunflower, millet, etc.. Indeed, the description spoke only of "hulled seeds". What I found was almost exclusively unbroken nuts, some as large as a whole shelled walnut. In my opinion, they could at least have broken them down a bit.
They will not fit through the holes of my feeders, and they are too big for the smaller birds I particularly wanted to attract. The photo on the front of the bag of a bluebird sitting on a cone flower did nothing to dispel my expectation this food was suitable for smaller birds.
Save this product for feeding the squirrels and chipmunks, or if you only want to attract large birds. It is particularly inappropriate to offer nuts such as these in the Spring, when parent birds try to feed them to their chicks and the chicks can choke on them (this advice comes from the Audubon Society). That said, the product, such as it was, did appear to be fresh.
