Percy Cheng: I did a try, my water is 220ppm, after brita filtering, it is 140ppm. I felt strange and tried it on distilled water, it was 120ppm… totally not accurate, no recommend to buy.

McKennan Dalton: I thought my tap water was tasting funny, so I got this to test it. Within 2 minutes of opening it, I found out my tap water is actually okay and it just tastes funny (but it’s nice to know it’s potable).
It’s super easy to use, literally only takes a couple seconds to test. Just for fun, I also tested my water filter and bottled water. I don’t go hiking or camping, but this would probably be extremely useful for those types of scenarios.

DMAdam47DMAdam47: Got this when I got a water purifier and it works great for that. It is consistant and appears to be pretty accurate and for $13 its worth the money. It was handy for checking the purified water on my new unit again the tap and bottled water. Happy with it and glad I got it.

Scott: Great tester if you want to do a quick test at a restaurant or cafe. Comes in its own carry case. Very convenient. Well worth having one.

Dennis Stitz: Nice little handy meter with good display for testing dissolved solids in drinking water.
Not meant for testing contaminates but very accurate and reliable. Nice little package.

Craig M: TDS does not measure Hardness except in a RO system. we are using an Ion exchange water softener which has really low Hardness but higher TDS due to the sodium ion exchange in the water softener. So the TDS was not useful for our purposes
