Here2HelpHere2Help: This TDS reader is easy to operate. It seems to work well. The readings varied based upon the source of the water. The reading did fluctuate a little, so the accuracy may have a +/- ppm tolerance.

K. Kenneth: First time buying one of these meters and I was surprised how accurate it was I've used it on five different types of water. RO system, tap water, bottled water and old filter water. My RO water system Read 17 after I added a mineral filter it was at 28. Tap water was high 400 in the red and my old countertop single carbon filter wasn't as good as I thought it was and read it 400. Takes an LR44 battery which I have extras for alarm systems at windows and doors they're cheap alkaline to repurchase. I ended up buying a pH meter later which wasn't as accurate and things that will throw you off like the little packets of solution to make to calibrate them that is good maybe if you want to be really accurate but I happen to have some alkaline bottle water that I knew was 8.8 and went from that reading which was maybe 9.2 so I knew it wasn't only awful little bit. The manufacturer on those pH meters should let you know that their calibrated in the factory or should be instead of messing around with solution that you have to mix with distilled water. I like the TDS meter with the light also and goes red when your water is over 50 TDS reading I told my sister about it and she went ahead...

RB: There are virtually zero cons for this product. It’s affordable and gives you insight about the contamination levels of various water sources. I tested my filtered fridge water vs my tap water and discovered it was the same reading at 217 ppm. Filtered fridge water is the same! I also tested reverse osmosis filtered water vs tap water from the faucet and the reverse osmosis had more contamination. I then tested bottled water (Smart Water) and got a great reading of only 37 ppm. If you’re a geek, you’ll love this product. This also may come in handy if you travel to foreign countries to understand the clarity of the water you’re drinking.

Elina AgarwalElina Agarwal: TLDR:
Extremely easy to use/read, accurate (as long as you know what your water "should" be), and the additional Temperature and EC features are very helpful.
Detailed Review:
I got this to measure TDS for my fishtank. Typically, the TDS should be less than 300 ppm. Any higher, and you'll find that your fish or shrimp might get sick. After landscape changes in the tank, the TDS can skyrocket because particles and sediment will enter the water column. I first measured my tap water as a baseline (110 ppm) and then measured my established aquarium (180 ppm). My new fishtank with brand new rocks measured 410 ppm on the first day, but after a few days it read 215 ppm, so I know the TDS won't be an issue if I add fish now!
Also, certain types of fish are very sensitive to temperature changes (and changes in water conditions in general), so having a precise temperature measurement device will come in handy. Now I don't really know what the EC should be for tap water or for a fishtank, but my tap water measured 220 us/cm and the fishtank was comparatively much higher, around 400 us/cm. So now I'm aware of a potential problem that could harm my fish, thanks to this device.
