NormB:
I have a large set of older Platinum bags, and bought two of these specifically for carry on use. They are vastly lighter than my older set, and don't seem less durable. As I strongly prefer two wheeled bags, this was a no brainer pick.
Size-wise, it is absolutely as big as you are going to get away with as carry on.

jas: We've had TravelPro suitcases in the past and this one fits right in in terms of quality and design. I've used it on one trip so far but it seems great. Arrived right on time and in good shape. I expect to use this for many years.

Deirdre Gibson: I used this on a 12-day trip to Europe (in addition to a "personal item"). Together, the two bags held everything I needed. This bag complies with American Airlines' dimension limits. The extra pockets inside owrked well for keeping small items sorted. I do wish that the exterior pockets were more spacious - nothing really fits in them that is thicker than a few sheets of paper.

J. Traub: I have another 20 inch carry on from Patagonia which they don't make anymore which has lasted me at least 10 years and I love it. However, this one is squarer and will fit more. it is a bit deeper as well. The fabric seems extremely sturdy, the wheels seem very good, and the handle also seems ok at first tryout. This line was recommended by the Wirecutter and I really like how I could buy a used one through Amazon for a little bit less. it arrived with tags without any noticeable difference: seems new, probably just returned! I'm hoping this will last me through my summer fall travels and I'm going to try not to check luggage. I also don't love spinners: I like the two wheeler. This one fit my needs exactly!

Hunter:
The suitcase matched the description perfectly. It’s got quite a few pockets inside and out to keep things flat, or hidden away.
The one thing I didn’t, or maybe haven’t gotten used to is the placement of the liquid and gel pocket. If you’re packing a full suitcase it’s a pain to have wrestle it if you’re asked to. Not all airports ask. I’ve only taken a few flights with it so far. It’s a bit on the pricey side (in Canada) but the build quality is good and everything is right where I packed it. The lifetime warranty sold me.

South Dakota Shopper:
I’m very happy with the quality materials and ingenuity used in making this suitcase. I tried to order the Maxlight 5 but couldn’t get the color I wanted due to product availability. After 20 years of using a Costco special, it finally wore out, so I did a lot of research trying to find something equally as good. Costco didn’t have any roll aboard styles available l, and I didn’t want valuable pack space taken up by wheels with the spinner style. Travelpro met my needs overall and at a price point that was cheaper than others. Just used it on my first trip with several flights. It is east to maneuver in airport parking lots, airport escalators and in narrow isle ways in planes. Likewise, east to fit in the overhead bins on planes. On our return home, we had to check our bags, which involved the bags being handled by baggage people to move it on multiple flights. I was concerned with how it might fare upon pickup at baggage claim. Not a scratch or a mark from that process was present.
The two zip pockets on the front are small and good for holding my belt or other small items I need east access to. The larger front pocket was a great...

Maria Araujo: Perfect carryon for my husband who “used” to travel all the time for work. This is to replace a battered carryon that he liked and was having a hard time letting go of. He can’t wait to use his new Travelpro. Says it ticks all the the boxes for him.

Amazon Customer:
Good size for a carry-on ... maximum size for A320 and B737 and larger aircraft for most all carriers.
Very durable - well made. Fairly costly but will last.

Palo Alto: This is really good quality and has worked well my first few trips with it. I do worry as another review pointed out that the metal zippers will snag on clothing and other things. Also, I still can't seem to figure out how to use the internal garment hanging mechanism. My suits get wrinkled pretty bad with it.
