Tanya FloresTanya Flores: In the photo on the left, I mixed the 24 kt gold powder with peppermint oil. But only to see how it would look as you are not supposed to used oil on royal icing decorations. In the photo on the right, I mixed the 24 kt gold powder with lemon extract (as extract is what you are supposed to use on royal icing decorations). And as you can see, the gold is rich looking with both the oil and the extract. Of course it looks a bit shiner with the oil but it also has a tremendous shimmer and shine with the extract. I am extremely picky when it comes to the gold shine. So far, this is the very best one I have ever used and the price is wonderful. I cannot recommend it enough.
