JPeaslee: This is great! I used it to make Felix Felicis potion for a Harry Potter brunch (just water and gold dust). I also put some in pancake syrup and gave it a dope look. Then I put some in our mimosas. I had a VERY glittery brunch.
It's such a tiny container, but I have so much left over. I think it will last FOREVER.

A&P: This was my first time using gold lustre dust and I loved it. Has great coverage - i used it on american buttercream and fondant as a paint. Mixed with water for the buttercream, and used as is as well as mixed with vodka for the fondant and all 3 worked well. By itself it worked okay on fondant but in preferred the coverage when mixed it vodka, it is way more even and thicker. It took me a little practice to get the amount of liquid to add to get it to the right consistency, but that's my lack of experience. Nothing wrong with the product. Also you need extremely little. Sp goes a long way.
The gold is shiny gold bit more yellowish and not antique. In case anyone wanted to know.
Overall good product, will order other dusts when I need them.

M. PerryM. Perry: This seemed to work ok. I first tested it out using it wet, mixing it with a flavor extract, but then decided to use it dry. I preferred the dry application over wet. I also colored my gum paste a golden color so the luster dust would have a better chance of covering if that makes sense. I'm not sure how it would look over white fondant/ gum paste. In my first picture you can see where I was applying it and the area that's hasn't been covered yet. The next picture is the crown completed and the last picture is the crown on the cake. I guess my only con is the price. Seems high for 4 grams, but it is what it is and I needed it. I'm happy that I didn't have to leave my house and you can't beat Amazon prime.

Hvns2Betse: We used this gold dust in our chocolate store and it works like a charm. I was a little nervous, but no need to be nervous. it worked great. I'll be ordering more in more colors if available! One thing to note... and this is not a criticism, just an observation. The container is much smaller than it appears. It's about the diameter of a silver dollar. The good news is that a little bit of this stuff goes a longggg way. You really don't need much to make anything shine. In fact, I'd recommend starting with just a little bit at first. Get a good dusting brush and brush it all over. If you need more, you can always add more... but definitely start small. This stuff goes a long way. Also wanted to mention that this is a true gold and not yellow like some of the other lower-priced products out there. I've tried a few others to save a buck, but I keep coming back to this one. It seems to stick better and the gold is a true gold. Thanks for the great product! I'll be buying more for sure!
