Chris Grainger: The release mechanism is simpler and folds completely out of the way. Unlike my old cover where the handle stuck down a bit (it could be accidently hit and released when loading tools etc. Its a good product!

Tim Senger: If you have an F150 or similar, forget about those stupid clamps that are tethered and hang down for the cover portion closest to the cab. Just use the vertical clamps that are in the rails that go across the tonneau cover. Trust me, it will save you tons of time and frustration from trying to use both the tethered clamps and the clamps in the rails. The instructions don't make any mention of not using those stupid ones that hang down if you don' need them. So frustrating. I also cut the plastic piece away where the clamp goes as they show in Step 3 on front cover of instructions.

The clamps for the tailgate end are spring loaded so they are super easy to use.

Once on, and forgetting about the instructions fiasco I really like the cover. I had a different one from same manufacturer for 7 years before it broke. This is better quality it seems. Maybe just don't follow instructions if you have a F150 and it will be FAR easier. I need a drink.

Lobo: I almost rated this a 3. It is really a 3.75 or better. Let me state the good and the bad. The good is that it is a good looking cover, that is really easy to install. The material should last much longer than the normal, and it is waterproof, I have washed it with a pressure washer and have been thru many storms recently, and there has been no water. Last I do get roughly 2 MPG in town.
Now the bad. First, and most disappointing to me is that even though the MPG improved in city driving, it Dropped by nearly 2 MPG on the open road. I have made two trips of over 500 miles with it, and the mileage is down by roughly 2 MPG from previous trips on the same roads. Next, the cover does not flap in the wind at speeds over 50, but is does ripple constantly. Also, I now seem to hear wind noise every time I get up to 50 or better and before, never heard it (I am not sure that the cover is causing this). Last, this is true of most covers, but because it does not flip up vertically next to the truck cab (I don't mean for driving, just to get into), it makes it really hard to get at tool boxes stored next to the cab. 12110: Very good product, high quality with the rag-top type material and fits and works perfectly. It is easy to put on and take off. Very happy with the product. The box was missing the tailgate seal but after 2 tries Lund did send the proper item on the third try. They even called me to make sure I was happy so Lund is an excellent company.

There was an issue with the rebate, though, as they didn't accept the bar code at first since it didn't look like a regular UPC. But it was the only bar code on the box and sent it in and they rejected it. But raising an issue with them caused them to quickly accept the rebate forms - so all is good now. But who likes rebates - especially mail-in rebate for on-line orders that needs you to fight for your rebate??? They really should get to an electronic process that is applied at checkout, especially for online orders.

So it's an excellent product, with good customer service that really wouldn't be needed if the box contained everything it's supposed to and the rebate process was more seamless.

Still I would buy it again - very happy with the product and a great price for such good quality.

soxsider: First thing's first: Before you take Amazon's word for it, check Lund's official site for which Genesis Tri-Fold fits your truck. I have a 2005 F150 with the 96in/8ft bed and contrary to Amazon's fitment tool, the 95074 Genesis Tri-Fold IS the correct Tri-Fold cover for my vehicle. Also, I took the extra step and called local retailers and they too confirmed that the 95074 WAS the correct cover.

For some reason the 95074 was significantly less expensive compared to other Lund Tri-Fold Genesis covers on Amazon. (supply and demand?) As of this review (12.6.11) the 95074 was going for $151.50 with free shipping. (I did pay $3.99 more for one-day shipping) The MSRP is over $400. Pepboys over $350. Other Genesis Tri-Folds on Amazon are going for over $300.

This cover is great far beyond the money factor. As other reviews have stated, why the cover itself does not have a lock, if your tailgate has a key-lock built into the handle, you can reasonably expect that any common goods left in the bed with the tailgate up and locked will still be there the next time you check.
