Tsukiakari: So I didn't know that these infrared thermometers were always going to be about 0.5 to 1 degree off of actual due to the way it measures temp. Once I realized, I was able to adjust accordingly. If you need a very precise readout, this is not the device for you, but if you're looking for something to passively measure your temp (e.g., for COVID warnings and minor illness), this will do the job.

OnlykewalbOnlykewalb: Well, I was looking for a thermometer that is not only easy to use but very importantly is accurate when taking readings and is consistent. It’s light weight, well made and easy to grip.

I tried it on different members of the family and compared the reading against the readings by another thermometer. It was good to find consistency across the readings.

Also in times like today where risk of Covid-19 is almost everywhere, we can use with during close family and friend gathering on those very special occasions like kids bdays and anniversaries. A great tool to have piece of mind before letting the guests join.

Also the option to set toggle between the two scales is very intuitive and easy to do. So far I am pleased with the purchase. I hope it’s durable enough to last a good time which should be worth the money spent. I would recommend this to my friends. My only suggestion is to add two AAA batteries with it so that it’s a complete unit when it arrives and you can use it right away as needed.

Tina R. Mann: ***UPDATE*** having had more time to use this at least once a day I can say I am very happy with this purchase. We use on a daily basis before work and school. I have since changed my rating from 4 star to 5.

I purchased this Lucky Sox non-contact infrared thermometer due to COVID 19 ongoing in our state. Our jobs are requesting we self check before going into work to make sure we are not running a fever before shift. We recently found that our daughter may be returning to a brick and mortar school so we will want to temp check her as well before each school day. I wanted an infrared because an oral thermometer in my belief may spread germs more and I really want to be careful.
I found the instructions seem to be on the box as when I unboxed this thermometer I did not see a user manual, however I do like the little bag it was shipped in so I can actually hang it on a hook next to the front door. I watched the video on the product description before purchase and so the instruction manual didn’t mean a whole lot to me as I knew basics about the thermometer before I even ordered. It was nice to know I needed 2 AAA batteries so I knew to have them handy!

Kevin D. Fischer: This came at just the right time. My wife has been diagnosed with COVID-19. It was a pain to take her temperature. Her throat hurt. She felt bad. She didn’t want a thermometer in her mouth for a minute. And we had to put a sleeve on it. So I set about looking for a forehead one. My son’s dentist was using one that looked like this. They said it was accurate. So I searched on Amazon looking for a similar one. This one has nothing but good reviews so I decided to buy this one. Very happy with it. The unit comes with a nice little pouch. I like that it uses AAA batteries and do I can replace easily. Normally those little button batteries are a pain. It took like a minute from open to batteries to checking her temp. In a second or two it gave the temp. I asked her to use the other thermometer and compared the results. Almost spot on the same! It was just half a degree different. It’s just easy. Press one button. Boom! Done.
