A. F.: Just right for a home office that's shared with a nursery. Locking feature is useful as different people access the room and our confidential papers are safe. It's solid; moves without much issue. Although the designers need to reassess the caster wheels. An inferior product of theirs has these massive wonderful rubber wheels while this one, which is far heavier and sturdier, still uses the plastic casters, which don't roll as well on carpet. I even tried to swap the casters (I ordered the inferior model first and then this locked model...same manufacturer so definitely check out all their products before choosing) but no, they weren't swappable. Haha, too bad. Oops, did I say that out loud?

zdog: If any of you are old enough to know— it’s not a pendaflexer. And it’s made in China. Overall a well designed piece that is reasonably easy to assemble, Phillips screwdriver is required. Once assembled it works well. I have loaded the bottom shelf to the max with supplies, boxes of folders and envelopes, the top is loaded about 60%, no problem. The sliding top required reassembly after me dropping it, no tools needed, just a little hand pressure. When finished it has a good feel to it. The lock is not used, so I cannot comment on the effectiveness of it. A good value, I will buy it again.

Amazon Customer: I ordered two of these files for my office. I assembled one with no problems- it has been the perfect thing for maintaining a file that is locked at my desk and much easier to deal with that a traditional file cabinet. When I went to assemble the second one, the top piece was separated from the side and was damaged. I called the Lorell company number and they worked diligently to correct the problem and ultimately sent me a complete replacement unit. I was sent a case number and had an email contact and phone contact. No going through some phone queue etc. Being in business myself, I cannot say enough about the great customer service provided. There were units that are more expensive and heavier duty than this one, but this suits my needs and budget perfectly.

Cheryl B.: First one i ordered did not come. Was told it got lost. When the second one arrived, I didn’t realize I had to put together. But, it was pretty simple to put together. Works great. Locks up teacher answer keys well. Was hard to pull up the top as it did not slide well, but the more i do it, it gets better. I put my foot on the bottom shelf to pull up cover and it bent. Not sure it it is thin or just cheap material. Otherwise it’s working out well for my needs.
