Chip P: I bought these for a Florida trip. We needed to be able to communicate between condoes, and from the condo to the beach and pool. This was a great purchase and made keeping up with each other so much easier. (4/24/23) We are here for a week and so far so good. Could not do with out these radios. We know they get at least a mile range. There has been no need to try to go futher. This purchase is a winner!!!

Jeremy Spradlin: These radios are really good for the price. I was impressed with the distance these things work at. I've tried them in rural central Oklahoma amongst the trees and hills and was able to talk at four miles distance. They weren't crystal clear at that distance and with the obstacles but we were definitely able to communicate with them which was surprising. I was sold and so we're my friends. They both bought a set. The sound quality of these are great. The volume is plenty load enough. They are easy to use. Just a turn dial for on/off and a turn dial for changing the channels 1-16. They conveniently recharge with the base stations provided or a cell phone charger. I'm not sure about how water resistant they are. I haven't used them in the rain yet. I don't have a complaint at all with these ptt radios. If you want a simple to use good quality radio these work great! This review was not placed under any pressure from the seller and I got nothing for posting it. It's just an honest review about an affordable and easy to use set of good radios.

Jonella: ...the batteries run out in about 24 hours. Also - it's not exactly "easy" to change the battery to a "re-charged" one - it's a bit difficult to open the case. However, the sound quality is excellent. Also - I should probably mention that I just ordered a second set! - because A) I want to keep a unit in my car - and one in the bathroom. We use these things all the time! - in a medium big house on a large property. And B) They are reasonably priced - so that makes it fairly easy to do.
I would say the same thing about the second set. They're ok - they do the job - the batteries run down very quickly - within 24 hours, which is a nuisance - and you've got to "shut them up!" - turn them off - once the battery runs down or the automatic voice that says "Please change the Battery" (in a somewhat English accent) will go on and on and on! - until you shut the damn thing off!! (Thank Goodness you CAN shut the voice off.) Otherwise they're pretty good. Price is reasonable. Voice is clear. Easy to use - but not to change the battery. Fortunately I have someone in my household who attends to changing the batteries.

Daniel "God is my judge": This pack is a great buy. Getting 4 talkies with an extra battery for each radio for about 60 bucks is a great deal in itself. However, as mentioned in other reviews, the ear pieces are worthless. Not one of the four worked correctly out of the box. They should offer a push to talk mic as an added option for purchase or include them and charge more accordingly. I would rather have those anyway. The radios seem to work well, voice receive volume and clarity good. I have not checked the distance of transmit and receive but I am sure it will be fine. If not, I will update. Seller shipped quickly and items are well packaged. I did not notify seller of ear piece issue because 1) it's not that important to me and 2) There is enough complaints on this issue to have already warranted a resolution and they should step up quality control or supply a better grade. If the ear pieces are something you must have, plan on purchasing elsewhere but as I said, it is still a great value in spite of the ear pieces.
