Ryan: I got hooked on vertical mice after trying some of the super cheap no-name brand mice you can get for $20 to $30. I liked the ergonomics, but wasn't a fan of the poor build quality with electronics that fail within a few months. Logitech has by far a better build quality and better software support, and the ergonomics feel a bit better than the budget mice. However, my scroll wheel became severely unresponsive after about a year of daily use. Here's the catch:

You have to disassemble the mouse and clean the internals. I have two cats, so there's a fair bit of hair around the house. After the year of usage, said hair clogged up the scroll wheel, which is operated by a laser passing through slots in the wheel. A big enough wad of hair wrapped around the axle of the wheel will eventually disrupt the laser. The disassembly is easy enough, but is time consuming. To get to the scroll wheel, you have to disassemble about 80% of the mouse, resulting in almost 20 screws to keep a track of. I was able to dislodge the hair and reassemble the mouse in working condition.

Thiago Puntar: Demora pra se acostumar, mas eu gostei muito, nunca mais tive dor ou cansaço na mão direita. Pra jogar, eu não me adaptei, jogava MOBA e achei que fica mais cansativo jogar com mouse vertical, mas agora, não consigo usar mouse tradicional mais, então, parei de jogar. hahahaha.

The Gadgetman: My couple dozen mice I've owned were all Logitech so I was pretty settled on this MX Vertical, but before plunking down a hundred bucks on a "non-standard" mouse, I wanted to see how the vertical position felt. So I got a knock off that was a fraction of the mouse several months ago. After using it, it didn't feel awkward with my hand position so I went ahead and got this device. I have to say I made a good decision, and there's a reason why this costs several times more than the knock off. They look very similar, but Logitech definitely gives me better feel holding in my hand.
I like the little app to customize my mouse. I especially like the top button to switch between two mouse speeds. It comes in handy when I'm trying to draw complex diagram and having to slow down my mouse speed really helps.

I did have a concern while using the knock off, which was it goes to sleep after several minutes of inactivity and I have to click on a button the "wake" it up. I was really annoying when you're in a video meeting where you're constantly moving your mouse, but when you do need to use it, it won't register because it went to sleep. calexgcalexg: I ordered three mice, this Logitech MX Vertical, a Logitech Lift, and the DeLux Seeker. I was actually hoping the DeLux would be the winner, but… DeLux devices do not play as nice with Macs as PCs :o(. The Logi Lift is beautiful in white, but my hand was unsupported, felt like it was going to slip off at any second, causing muscle aches after using it all day. I was not expecting much from the Logi MX, but to mu utter surprise this mouse is the VERY BEST mouse I have ever used! The comfort I felt the second I put my hand on it left me speechless. And after using it almost 8 hours straight, absolutely no pain! I cannot recommend this mouse more. Use Logitech ‘s size guide, if your hand measures just under 7” from tip of middle finger to bottom edge of your palm, but this mouse. Yes, it’s expensive at $100+ tax, but I’m getting over the initial pain in my wallet with the relief of pain in my right hand & arm!

My hand continues to be absolutely in LOVE with this Logi MX Vertical Mouse, BUT... The top (left) click leaves much to be desired of a $100 device. I don't know if it's that the mouse itself or that it's paired with a 2021 M1 Macbook...
