Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: My 16 month old son has loved this book since he turned 1 year old. He has it in the paper version and lights up every time I read it to him. I decided I would get this book for friends and family when they have 1st birthdays since it’s about the gorilla getting bigger and having his birthday. I will say I much prefer the size of the paper version over the board book. As you can see from the photo, the board book fits in the palm of my hand (measures approx 4.7”5 x 4.25”). However, I might just buy another board book for my son so he can look at it on his own and I won’t have to worry about him ripping the pages.

Patricia L. Bower: This is a great book for young children, and is very durable as a hard board book. My granddaughter wouldn't go to sleep without hearing it every night.

Mary Baribeau: Book in great condition with vibrant eye-catching colors.
Lovely story.
But, goodness gracious, this book was teeny tiny!
Personally, I have never seen such a small board book and I worked at a Library for 20 years.
Guess I should have paid more attention to the description - size was noted : (
Thought I would order the paperback but not sure if the same story - can't access the paperback pages.
Why would the paperback be for 4-7 year olds but board book for 0-3 year olds?
Only because one is board book and other is paperback book?

Happy Granny: I love buying this book for baby gifts. It is a sweet story of acceptance and family love. It comes in so many sizes and in the bigger version you get the concept of how big he grows but the tiny version fits a small child's hands.

Jerry: It’s a great book, great story and very sturdy. It’s hard for a baby to destroy the book as its pages are thick, firm and sturdy. And the story is amazing! It teaches a baby/toddler the very basic, but the most important thing that’s about love and the fact that living things are growing everyday. My baby loves this book a lot. In fact, this is her most favorite book among all the books I gave her. She probably knows the story by heart because I read this book to her like hundreds of time already.

Amazon Customer: My two year old grand daughter loved the story of this adorable baby gorilla and how the love of those around him never changes even as he does. The pictures of the animals in the jungle are simple and the book is sturdy so it can be left in the hands of younger children. We have read it many times and she seems to enjoy it as much every time .......looking forward to when he grows up.
