marilyn davie: just rec'd today and worked on my first project , I see alot of people didn't realize there are little caps with a pin inside to pierce the bottle open ( some had cut with scissors and a mess happened ) with the little cap with pin inside stops a mess from happening ! Will buy again

Pam Gardner: I had not used alcohol inks before and wanted to try them out in resin moulds. This is a great starter set and works will. They colors are true and easy to use. Spreads better and gives a better pattern than using acrylic paint.

Angela K. RoughAngela K. Rough: They work fine, but I should have invested in a more expensive quality alcohol ink set. The white does not sink the inks as much as I wanted. And the colors mix together more than I wanted. They would work fine for coloring the resin before pouring, but they are not exactly what I need. 3.5 stars.

So I have now bought more expensive inks and they are better for resin. Buuuut I am so glad that I bought this set first because these work great for alcohol ink art. I actually didn't like the more expensive set as much for using the inks outside of resin art.

MelissaMelissa: This set of alcohol inks is perfect for beginners, but would easily work for more advanced projects. There are lots of colors which can produce sheer or opaque results depending on how much you use. You can also mix colors and mica to achieve the perfect shade you want (see images).

That being said, while I have really enjoyed working with it, I have noticed one thing worth mentioning... If you use too much of any color, it seems to slow down the curing process of your resin. In some cases, it's left my resin only half cured which results in flexible (bendy) resin pieces. Luckily, I've learned that if I topcoat my pieces with UV resin, I am able to create a hard "shell" and avoid any potential damage. My tip to you would be to take it slow and only add as many drops as necessary in order to avoid the curing issues.
