T. Lurvey: I read some of the reviews where they said it was too rough….but it’s a loofah not a soft sponge so yes it is a little rough. You're not supposed to use it on your face or sensitive areas. I love it. I use it on my back and and on my feet and ankles. When I’m done I squeeze the loofah to get the excess water out and hang to dry.

Bruce H: I would have preferred that the coarser inner fibers at the top end of the Loofah had been trimmed more, but I can do that if needed. It does appear to be well made and swelled up appropriately when moistened.
The inner fibers were a bit harsh when I used this the first time since they protrude and the softer outer layer moves back when you push it forward, but I'll see if they soften more in the next few uses.
