M Fiedler: No problem setting up and connecting. You have to wake it up before you can use it, normal for a battery powered BT device.
The snipping tool key is handy.
If it doesn't type numbers, make sure your Windows "Mouse Keys" setting is turned off.
The key labeled "clear" is really the backspace key.
To type special characters using the Alt key, hold down Fn and Alt on your main keyboard at the same time and then type the numbers on the numeric keypad. For example Fn+Alt 241 types ±. Fn+Alt 0128 types €. I use Alt keys all the time for special characters.
These manufacturers really need to include an Alt key if possible.

Camille: I've had this num pad for several years and it works exceptionally well on Mac and Windows. However, I ran into a hiccup on my new work laptop, which is on Windows 11. The numpad should appear as "Bluetooth Keypad." It never popped up for me. I tried a few basic troubleshooting steps like turning on advanced bluetooth and restarting my computer. When those didn't work, I assumed it was something else. I went into my Windows updates and downloaded the optional updates (particularly for firmware and drivers). That fixed it just like I assumed it would and it functions properly again.

T: I gave this 5 stars because the product is excellent quality, syncs quickly and performs very well. I do have buyers regret, however, and will be buying a different ten key. It has nothing to do with quality, but with the chiclet style of keys. They do not give good tactile guidance (meaning feeling your finger centered on the key), which is vital for a ten key when your head is turned reading numbers and you need tactile accuracy without looking at the 10 key. Because these keys are flat, I cannot confirm my hand position by feel and therefore cannot turn my head too long, reach for keys above the 10 key, or work prolonged without checking my hand position and data entry. I am making a lot of input errors on this, solely because of the keyboard style. Again, this has nothing to do with quality. The quality is top notch. It's just the wrong key type feel for 10 key. It needs a more robust keybed with concave key tops. Too bad, beacuase this really nice, very thin and easy to pack.

Pawel SwiatekPawel Swiatek: I started carrying my official keyboard from the fruit company to work, as I wanted the flexibility a Bluetooth keyboard afforded. Especially as the horrible generic keyboards at the office had a horrible finger feel when being used.

The downside to that was the loss of a Number pad, which slowly became irritating. In come this item to the rescue. It paired with my laptop quickly, and have had an issue since. Charging is quick, but hardly needed it last quite a long time. The few extra keys like esc and 00 can come in handy. My favorite is the calculator button. Also, it matches my existing keyboard which is why I picked in the first place.

Blue: This stand-alone numPad is sturdy, well designed and does exactly what it promises. It adds a lot of functionality to those compact laptops that lack a built-in numPad. Plus, it's quite elegant.
One great feature of such a separate numPad is that you can have your numPad wherever suits you the most : on the left, on the right or on your knees. Great for southpaws !

In short, if you work with numbers, you can't do without one.

However...
- it's made of aluminum with sharp edges that are VERY unpleasant to the skin : its manufacturer should really splurge on sandpaper or a file, and hire a worker or two to round off those edges. As it is, the product feels unfinished. Which is really too bad because it is otherwise excellent.
- it lacks backlighting : in these days when even cheap computers come equiped with backlit keyboards, that's a bit disappointing.

DanielDaniel: I recently got a new computer, and it doesn't have a number pad like my old one did.

Because I'm doing a lot of at-home work lately, I miss my number pad quite a bit. My last one was great, and I would use it all the time, so I had to get a new one. I’ve never worked with an external number pad before, but I was willing to give it a shot! I wanted to make sure it works great since I use it so often, so I justified putting a bit more money in to get a good, proper one.

I chose to pick up this one because it has everything I want in a number pad, and it looks like it's good quality. (It also had prime, so I would get it super fast.)

I got it in yesterday and when I felt it in hand and actually tried it out, I knew I made the right decision. It had everything I wanted, and on top of that, it adds a nice aesthetic to the in-home office.
