It has worked really well just using the ice packs, plus a couple extra ice packs that I had, instead of loose ice and risking a leak. It does get a bit heavy, but the convenience of being able to carry it around and keep my hands free makes it totally worth it.

JustMy2Cents: I have not tried it out but it is a well-made bag. In addition to picnics, my plan is to use it when I go to my butcher and fish monger. I can keep a couple of water bottles cool as I shop in the summer. The ice packs and interior should keep the food cold for the trip back home. The ice packs are flat, not as pictured. I prefer the flat style.

JoJo: You guys.. this backpack is INSANE! It fits the whole fridge and then some! I work out of town every week, 3h away, so I meal prep for the 3 or 4 days that I’m gone. This backpack fits all my meals for those days. See picture! I even ended up putting some bananas on top in the backpack after picture, that’s how much space there is. Yes it will be heavy, obviously, the more you put in there. Also keeps all my food cold for the commute! Material is also strong and thick, I don’t see this thing breaking anytime soon.

S.Blair: I was really skeptical about this product because most r not durable n the inside rips within the first week. But, I absolutely love this bag! I have used it for a week now and it it withstands more than I thought. Pockets for anything u need and keep drinks cool. I am very impressed with the size, the room and the durability. I will n would buy this item again if needed. And arrived earlier than said..

Me cabe perfectamente todo para un día completo, incluyendo una botella de agua de 2 l. Los alimentos quedan fríos todo el día. (Por lo menos 8 horas). Muy buena compra!

Tesha: I purchased this to keep drinks and snacks cool during my sons track meets. The size is amazing!!!!!! Plenty of room for Tupperware, bottled water, large drinks or wine bottles. Came with one ice pack instead of two but no biggie. Froze 3 bottles of water along with the icepacks to help keep things extra cool. Check in time was at 7:30am and we didn’t leave until 3:00 and the one bottle of water that remained was still half frozen!!!!! We were in direct sunlight with a temp of 80!!!!!! When it was time to go I just put on my backpack and headed out!!!! Love the convenience of a hands free cooler. Super happy with this purchase!!!!
