SkeletonNewRoman: Bought this for my roommate for Christmas, and it's one of the few things he has on display in his room, so that's neat. It also kicked off his love for Legos again, so y'all owe me a membership or something.

Giannobile Dario: tutto bene anche se il costo adesso è un pò più alto in passato possibilmente dovuto al fatto che la LEGO non produce più questo set.

Boris: The good:
This is also a surprisingly sturdy Lego set considering the intricate structure of the Space Station. Also, it is a surprisingly detailed model given its size. There's a well executed attempt to represent most relevant external components, including several scientific experiment racks, and the Canadarm using the smallest Lego pieces. I imagine it took a lot of time and effort to design a model of the station in Legos with this scale.
My complaints: the space-shuttle model is the wrong scale, it should be around 1/3rd bigger. It may be argued that the whole space station model is a bit too small considering how intricate the space station is. The astronaut figurines used are too big, since they are identical to the figurines used for the Saturn V set. I do understand there may have been some inherent limitations making this model difficult to scale up.
The ISS is continuing to expand, with the new solar panels installed this year and the new Russian laboratory that just got installed, this model is arguably out of date. I recommend researching the lego parts and buying them separately if you really care about keeping it up to date!
Otherwise...

Just another Schmo: Didn't even know this set existed until a month ago. I've always thought the ISS was really cool so when I stumbled across this set I immediately bought it. about 3 years ago I bought the Megabloks Starship Enterprise set which is an absolute Monster and took me a week to build, and this was the first set I had built since then.
I spent about 1 and 1/2 hours on it an evening over a couple of days, the build is actually a lot easier than it looks, as you build dozens of little sub assemblies, 1 at a time, each one not being more than 5 or 6 steps. The set is broken up into numbered bags (6 of them), and the instructions clearly let you know when you've finished a bag and it's time to open up the next one, which further simplifies the building process and also cuts down on pieces laying around/hunting for parts.
It's a fairly large set when done and fairly "spindley" (as is the real ISS), this is more a display piece than a toy for children, as many of the smaller modules and antenna/dishes are quite delicate and will come off easily. It does have movable solar arrays and a semi articulate Canada Arm, along with a docking collar that can dock a couple of the Micro...
