diana smith: My grandson has been getting legos since he was a small child. He puts the legos together and displays them in his room. He gets about 9 sets a year. They are easy to put together and keeps the children occupied for hours.

Bruce John: Hogwarts Great Hall is one of my favourite Wizard World sets. It looks fantastic from both outside and inside. The Great Hall is highly detailed. There is plenty of room to play with the minifigures. Furthermore, the architectural design of the castle is absolutely beautiful and it includes several new details which could prove to be extremely useful.

The minifigure selection is including a tremendous range of characters which are of a consistently high standard. I think there are certain areas of the castle which could be refined with a little more detail but this is still a great set. In addition The price is very reasonable and I would therefore highly recommend adding it to your Lego collections.

Erick Naulleau: J’ai commandé cet ensemble pour l’offrir à mon neveu pour Noël... Fanatique de Legos (que ce soit des kits ou des blocs en vrac pour laisser son imagination déterminer le résultat de ses constructions) ainsi que de La saga Harry Potter, il l’adore! Le montage trône sur sa table de jeu avec quelques ajouts et extensions, faites de pièces dépareillées, de son crû! Il joue avec et pense souvent à comment la modifier ou l’améliorer... je crois que je n’aurais pas pu faire un meilleur choix cette année!

Seul hic, les ensembles legos ont tendance à être atrocement dispendieux... si votre enfant aime les Lego, mais est du genre à se lasser rapidement de ses cadeaux ou qu’il ne les transforme pas plus tard en autre chose, il vaut peut-être mieux lui acheter des pièces détachées en vrac plutôt qu’un ensemble de ce type...

stuart1776: This set was fun to build, and pretty straight-forward too. The pictures-only manual only led me astray once (the strangely fiddly hinges for the top of the tower, that didn't seem to line up at first...), and it's strangely addictive, as some parts were mystifying while being put together, and only made sense once you actually put them into the rest of the model.

I did have a couple of minor niggles: I was missing a piece! A single, one-piece block, that appeared in the instructions, but was absent from the set. It was for the base of one of the buttresses on the outside of the hall, and while I ended up with a couple of pieces among the extras I could have used, I didn't know at the time if they were needed for something else! There was another case of one of the pieces being a different color than the manual indicated, but that was it, apart from that, it all went together pretty nicely.

The finished model is wonderful, even if not all the bits seem built entirely to the same scale. The inclusion of 10 mini-figures means you can recreate most scenes from the films, even if getting Quirrel, but not Snape seems a bit odd. It's a little disappointing that there's...
