Marci: My 10 year old grandson loves older or unique cars and especially Volkswagens. He started a collection of these vans a couple years ago. He loved this and his older sister did too. I think this is a creative lego toy kids will love.

Cory Norris: The media could not be loaded. I thoroughly enjoyed making this surfer van! I did have a few gripes. And this is a lego manufacturer complaint not for Amazon but for one I was missing at least 5 pieces that I had to improvise around. Also, as far as design, all the way up until you attach the roof portion, one side of the van swings open and allows you to look inside at all the details. That side of the van is the only place where the roof attaches however and once you attach it, you can no long open/swing that side to see inside. Kind of a bummer and makes me wonder why they designed it to do that just to inhibit it in the end...anyways its cute

Olivia: Truth be told, this one was for me! I needed to build that lifeguard stand. We made a cake made to look like sand and water. Strips of gum were the lounge chairs and yes, we even had dolphins. Yes, my creativity took hold of me! It was awesome!
We are longtime Lego fans and own many sets. I am always game to build and enjoy the more difficult builds as well as the easier ones.
Perfect for the age group and I love the 3 in 1 versatility! You get directions for each of the three builds. You can only build one at a time!
Excellent price point and a FUN set!

Louis Maurice: The base set is great. I loved the design and there's a considerable amount of detail crammed in there. Where this product falls short is in it's alternate models. They really aren't up to Lego Creator's usual standards. They aren't very visually pleasing, nor are they much fun. This should have been sold as a City set rather than a Creator.

Amazon Customer: This is one of the better Lego sets that my 6yo son has played with since he started into Lego a year or so ago. The various accessories that go with the van allow for great imagination ranging from a camp out on the beach or a travel adventure to places unknown. We like how the top of the van can be easily removed for the access to the inside which adds to the play. Would recommend for anyone wanting to spend hours playing Lego adventures with their kid.

The LEGO GuyThe LEGO Guy: This is an average LEGO set.
It's not often that I find a LEGO set that I can't get excited about, but I struggle to get too overly excited about what this set offers. I do enjoy that this set is part of the LEGO 3in1 creator series, which means there are three different possible builds that can be completed with the included LEGO pieces. I'm basing my review on the surfer van as I didn't complete the other two possible builds.
The retail price for this set is decent when considering how many LEGO pieces are included. I would recommend keeping your eye out for a sale price of 20% or more because that is fairly common with the LEGO creator sets.
The overall size of the surfer van is larger than typical LEGO city vehicles, which makes for an odd fit when I include this vehicle with our LEGO city. The design of the LEGO set is rather boxy and lacks a lot of the sleekness we've come to enjoy in LEGO sets. Lastly, the wheels on this LEGO set just didn't really seem to fit well with the overall design.
