Rahn Abbott: I bought this book for my son as he headed off to the Navy. So I never saw the book. I guess it's a book of Norse poetry, or Edda's. I guess it's fine.

Jayson: I have just finished reading the first poem and it's fascinating, the translation and notes are really good, but it's still medieval poetry so it may take a few reads to fully comprehend it.

Malcolm Stark: This is a very good translation of the Poetic Edda. Similarly to Henry Bellow’s classic translation, Lee Hollander retains much of the original poetic form. Good margin notes and index too.

Ben: I can't comment on the content, since I haven't read through the book yet. So I found it only reasonable to subtract a star. I have been meaning to get a copy of the Poetic Edda for some time though and I've had my eye on this version. As far as how it arrived, it came undamaged which I was really happy about. If you've looked into the book a bit and it piques your interest, I would say it's worth it.
