Lectron Level 2 Electric Vehicle Charger with NEMA 14-50 Plug

Afteryou8: This is a change from my original review. I found that the charger was cutting off on my Kia EV6 after a few minutes and I thought the problem was in the charger...but it wasn't a problem at all. And it was the car causing the charger to cut off. The charger will charge up to 40Amps but the 220V circuit was pushing 46Amps through the charger causing it to overheat and cut off. No problem....once I realized the source. I went into the EV6 and changed the setting to limit the percentage that it would charge through the charger. In my case it's 60% and it comes out to around 32Amps. This solved the issue and the charger works like a charm! Great value and excellent performance.

Sean: Good for charging low amperage PHEV, but it’s shorter than you think. The length is plug to plug and the control box isn’t waterproof, so the remaining cord isn’t practically long enough if you have to run it outside; even if mounted next to door.

Bryce Avallone: This charger worked great for me for a year, and then after a heavy rain storm it stopped working. Even though I was right at the edge of my warranty, customer service was great and they replaced my charger. I will buy from this company again!

Diana Lucio: I've used this several times now and it works well, so far. The only drawback is that it's a bit short for where I wanted to use it, but I should have measured the area first. I doubt I would have purchased the longer cord though since the price was a little steep for the extra feet. I just take turns using the charging space with our other EV since the cord reaches there, instead of using our other charging port.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this cord stopped working properly after a couple of months. It would stop charging after 30 minutes or so, making me have to keep checking on it and having to restart it. After working with the company that sold it, they replaced the cord. However, again after a couple of months, the new cord is doing the same thing. I haven't even bothered contacting them about the replacement cord. I'm using this for my Hyundai Ioniq 5 and will be looking for a new cord from a different company. This has been an expensive mistake, so use caution when considering this brand.

Adam R. Bosch: I had to get rid of my JuiceBox after three years because one of the contact points in the handle fried. I wanted a charger that was simpler, effective and easy to install. I have been using this one for a week and I love it so far. Perfect for overnight charging at home.
