Anne: Don't be me and waste time and money on school to learn Logic Pro X. I bought this book to just keep around for quick reference. This book went over every single thing I was taught AND MORE, and in a way that was easier to understand. Bonus points that the author has his own website with even more information and cheat sheets (and better pictures bc the pictures in this book really suck lol). This book is SO well-written. The fact that I could have saved $50k+ by just buying this book from the start has me kicking myself.

Hector Cross: As I am learning to use Logic Pro this book is amazing and a great book for beginners. Can't get use to the title though I don't think I'm a dummy it's a bit embarrassing taking it out at university and your peers giving you that look, but hey still a great book.

Amazon Customer: If you are new to Logic Pro, this is the right book. It goes from basic to more Advance techniques and it’s pretty clear to understand, highly recommended.

BillBill: I’ve been using Logic for years but barely scratched the surface on many of it’s features. Logic Pro X for Dummies is a great reference for the novice, intermediate and even advanced users. Great in-depth explanations and how to examples on Logic features and the end to end process of recording music. Keystroke shortcuts are very useful. My only disappointment are the photos in the book. They are almost impossible to read.

Peter Di Berardino: This book is easy to read and follow. I haven't read the entire book from cover to cover only because I've been using Logic Pro X for a long time and I'll probably be using it as a reference. The images in the book are dark, but don't despair, the images are all available IN COLOR upon request. This is a good book for beginners and people who have been using Logic Pro X already.

Mr R Shaw: Well written, covers practical everything in logic and is reasonably user friendly re understanding some of the more complex areas, would recommend.

PMD Studios: First, let me say this book is not aligned with the "For Dummies" category - it is a reference book for Logic Pro X. Many critical reviews complain there is no "easy start example", and that is true (which could easily be remedied in a 3rd edition). However, as an "intermediate" amateur this book is excellent as a reference tool for a very capable and complex software package. You can watch hours and hours of online videos, but having this on the desk is a no-brainer (IMHO). Given that now Graham sends you direct the color files / graphics, seems to me a major plus. And seriously, its a $20 manual for a $200 program. Anyone research what Pro Tools costs all in to become proficient?

Dawn von Arnim: I really like how it's all laid out in easily understood instructions. I am no computer wiz, but I'm making beautiful music!

BillBobRob: I bought the first edition of Logic Pro X for Dummies almost four years ago. I keep it on my workstation for quick access referencing. It is now moved to my bookshelf and replaced on my workstation by the second edition of LPX for Dummies. Today, it is a great reference for me, but when I first started with LPX, it provided me a systematic approach to getting ready for, working on and finishing a project. I liked it so much I joined Graham’s online Logic Studio Training site.
Unfortunately again, many of the images are too dark (especially for old eyes such as mine), a problem taking screen shots from LPX and putting them into a black & white edition. Graham has mitigated the impact of this by supplying, free of charge, the images as downloads. They are bright and clear. Thanks Graham.
I recommend this for new and experienced users of Logic Pro X.
