Michael: Before I start, just know that I'm ordering a third one, if that tells you anything about how good this timer is. I love how simple and intuitive it is, it beeps loud, and it does exactly what I need from a timer, in a nice form factor.

Now for the problem because I just lost my SECOND timer a couple minutes ago. I lost my first one a week ago on the bus (it slipped out of my pocket). With the second timer, I decided to buy a wrist strap to make it easier to tie it to things. The timer comes with a plastic loop at the top, so that you could hook it to something like a lanyard. Only problem is that this bit is a SEPERATE plastic that gets ripped apart from the timer whenever there's a yank of any sort. So you have to treat it like a queen or else your timer is gone. I was trying to deal with it by wrapping it around the strap of my bag so that there always more support for the timer besides the flimsy plastic bit, but I guess it wasn't enough. I'm putting velcro or something on this third time, I'm fed up.

OH ALSO, on the first day, I decided to try the mute switch :D. I couldn't unmute it after that. I had to open up the timer and noticed that the manufacturers...

The family K.: It is quick and easy to set the count-down timer.

SOUNDS:
- The beeping sound when the alarm goes is loud but not deafening.
- It is completely silent while it is counting up/down.
- There is no sound/beep when you press any of its 6 buttons (i.e. when you press "RESET", "START/STOP", or any of the 4 numeric buttons: 4 numerical buttons: "10 M", "5 M", "1 M", "10 s").
- There is a switch on the side that lets you turn on/off all sounds.

Ways to start the count-up timer (i.e. stopwatch):
OPTION 1 - on purpose: To count up from 0 on purpose, "RESET" the timer to 0:00 and then press "START/STOP".
OPTION 2 - automatically after count-down finishes: If you start a count-down timer then as soon as it reaches 0:00, it starts counting up (in addition to the alarm beeping).

"START/STOP" and "RESET" buttons:
- AFTER the count-down timer has reached 0/gone off, pressing any of the 6 button (including ) will reset the timer to the original time you entered.
- If it is counting down to 0 but has not yet reached 0 (i.e. while it is counting down) then:
a) pressing "START/STOP" will pause/un-pause the timer.
b) pressing "RESET" will stop the...

Justin: Let's be honest, it's a great little timer. Easy to use, and functional with a huge display even my grandmother could read. My only gripe (and withholding the 5* review) is that when you stick it on your fridge, there's only 2 magnets which are in the top half of the unit, therefore, when you press the buttons on the timer, the whole unit moves with the press. It's only a few mm, but did these guys actually test it on a fridge or just a countertop? All it would have taken is just one more little magnet on the bottom half of the unit and it would have been an all time classic timer, that surely would have stood up to the test of time, but, alas, almost immediately after unboxing it, i've had to go through the cupboard to try and find something that i can stick the bottom half of the unit to the fridge so stop it's rocking.

Fountami: I had been leaving my RO system running which is very expensive when you forget it. I can hear this ring clearly from the basement. Control take a little to get used to, but works perfectly now that I understand how to set it.

JSD: PROS

1. Well built. It is plastic, but feels solid.
2. Large easy-read screen
3. Large rubbery dependable buttons - no click
4. Option for Light Alert or Beep
5. When the Alert goes off, the timer starts counting up. If you miss it, you can see at a glance how much time passed since it went off.
6. Alert on Beep Goes for 10 seconds slow, then fast for 50 seconds, then stops.

Credit to the designer, who obviously knew what it meant to actually use a timer.

NEUTRAL

1. Beep is shrill - great if you are a ways off. A little harsh if you are standing next to it.

CON

1. None.

I bought this for working out in my basement. I am contemplating a second one for the main floor. I time a lot of stuff I do all day long. The option for silent alert, and the fact that the alert turns off after a minute are ideal features for me.

Stanica: Works well and the time setting is very easy to control. Large display and choice of visible or audible or both alarms.
Somewhat expensive for what is basically a kitchen timer.
