P.F.Brown: Having gotten into Larkin Poe from their YouTube videos,and being blown away by their guitar sound, especially Megan's mastery of the slide guitar, I bought Blood Harmony.A brilliant album, with a definite Lynard Skynard vibe,more country and bluesy than rock.Self made man was the previous album to Blood Harmony, and is more rock, and heavier with.it. God moves on the water and Every bird that flies, along with Holy ghost fire are the best tracks. Rebecca's singing,great as always ,unfortunately Megan slide guitar isn't so noticeable on this album.

Nervo Franco: Considero le Larkin Poe, le sorelle Rebecca e Megan Lovell la più bella sorpresa dell'ultimo decennio. Rebecca compone, canta, suona la chitarra, Megan insaporisce il tutto con la chitarra slide e i cori. Lo stile di base è il blues ma con molte variazioni e deviazioni, a volte di ruvido rock. Acquisto ogni loro album ed anche questo è meritevole di ascolto. Consigliato.

Noruto: Ningún disco de Larkin Poe defrauda, su directo es apabullante, imprescindible verlas si te gusta el rock, pero si no sabes qué disco comprar de los que tienen, para mí este es el mejor. Es un hit tras otro. Brutal. Los otros son también muy buenos, con grandes hits, pero este es el que noto más cohesionado.

elina seveelina seve: Larkin Poe is the real deal when it comes to rock and roll with a southern spin. This is a powerhouse album that starts of with a couple hard-hitting songs that whet the appetite for the rest of the tracks. The overall journey through the album has a great flow after that leading up to a fun finish.

The record itself is absolutely gorgeous. It’s advertised as “tan” in color, but it is really more of a transparent gold. Super cool. No issues with sound quality, and the record is heavy and sturdy. Such a great buy!

Fan4Prince: I already heard the digital version of this album and some of the songs live when I saw Larkin Poe at a music festival for the first time in 2019 but the vinyl blows away any digital media or CD on a great 40 year old Technics turntable and an equally good receiver both made in Japan at the same time. Hook them up with some decent shelf speakers and you've got it going on! I took up vinyl again after not having any since the '80s because of the pandemic, which I probably wouldn't have done otherwise. But, next to live music, vinyl is the best experience for music. And, Larkin Poe on vinyl does not disappoint, either on vinyl or live in person.

Kimberly: I purchased this because I kept hearing "Self Made Man" on Sirius XM. So I decided what the heck, and purchased this and Venom & Faith. On Vinyl, of course. Put it on my turntable, rocked out to Self Made Man. Then I just couldn't stop listening to Holy Ghost Fire. The riffs from Blue Oyster Cult's Godzilla just blew my mind! It just fit so completely with the song. I've been listening to both albums since they arrived. And I just can't get enough! I'll need to look at the other releases. Both albums are definitely a recommended purchase!

Peter Schmidt: Ich bin im Besitz aller Vorgänger-Longplayer dieser wunderbaren Schwestern und das, obwohl ich normalerweise mit Bluesrock und verwandten Stilen nicht so wahnsinnig viel anfangen kann.
Auf "Self Made Man" bleiben sie sich und ihren Wurzeln treu, ohne sich zu wiederholen. Insgesamt wirkt es ausgereifter und homogener, auch weniger experimentell (wie "Peach"), was manche/r vielleicht schade findet, aber dem Album durchaus keinen Abbruch tut. Die Linie des Vorgängers "Venom & Faith" wird fortgesetzt, aber mit hellerem Grundton.
Schwache Tracks gibt es keine, allerdings fällt "Easy Street" aus der Rolle mit einem Abstecher ins Country-Genre. Konsequenterweise ist er ans Ende der Scheibe "verbannt". ;-)
Ich bin durch dieses Album jedenfalls endgültig zum Hardcore-Fan geworden. Es wird durchweg in hoher und höchster Qualität abgeliefert und bei aller Stiltreue bleibt es immer spannend. Die meisten Songs haben Ohrwurmqualität und wenn das Album durchgehört ist, will man gleich wieder von vorn anfangen. Oder ein anderes von ihnen hören.
