LouLou: The media could not be loaded.  I'm only using this as a temporary holding for my betta until I can put him in his upgrade (which will be tomorrow) and its pretty nice. You could definitely use this as a filter and use your own media if you wanted. You would definitely need a bigger air pump with more power to push out more water but could definitely work. The stability is good so far (but this is the first time I'm using it will update later down the road) The lid is nice I like that it clamps. There is no noise which is nice I also like how clear it is. I will say I had a hard time getting the tubing thru the little area where you can put it but with some tweezers I was able to jam it thru.

Dan M.Dan M.: I ordered this tank for my Bangaii Cardinal fish. Hangs perfectly on the side of my 100 gallon tank, allowing fresh water to enter and exit. Simple to set up, and works great. Highly recommend it. We’ll see how it works for growing out the fry.

Sarai Castillo: Bought it for my fry and it’s perfect since they don’t seem to fit the little holes on the separators. It’s a little hard to assemble but it’s definitely worth it in the end.

Aussie Steve: This does the job nicely but the rubber O ring where the pipes join needs to be better quality and/or thicker. Bottom pipe was constantly loose. I ended up using some clear tubing and running a small USB electric pump to get water into the chamber, which turned out to be a better option anyway, although this is with larger fry.

The bottom distance adjustment on mine is as tight as hell and I almost broke the box twice trying to pry it off to adjust. Slightly better design would go OK here.

Otherwise, does as advertised, easy buy.

Emmanuel G.: El diseño es bueno, permite tener visibilidad completa de manera exterior a la pecera con oxigenación y flujo de agua. Desde mi punto de vista muy recomendable.

E. M. FraiseE. M. Fraise: Bought this to temporarily house babies for my cichlid tank until they were large enough to safely go in the grow-out setup - worked pretty nice, though I think it'll be better suited for smaller fish such as guppies. Will have to test that out with my upcoming guppy breeding tank and see if the fry can fit through gaps in the plastic dividers. Also useful for separating fish if you have one getting beat up that needs its own space to recover.

Wasn't too hard to set up and is sturdy once you get it together. The bubbler does make a little noise, but it isn't terribly noticeable imo. The flow isn't heavy enough to push the fry around but disturbs the surface enough to help aerate the water.

Only downside I've come across is that the gap between the lid and tank along the lip that hangs it off the main tank is large enough for slimmer fish to jump out; was keeping a 3" khuli loach in there for a moment while cleaning out his old tank and he spooked and jumped right into the other tank! Happened so quick that I needed a moment to figure out why my loach suddenly wasn't there, lol. Now I keep a little bit of paper towel over that spot and haven't had a problem...

MrRobot PartsPlus: I bought some guppies and the females were pregnant already. I wasn't sure what to do and a friend recommended this. It worked beautifully. I now have a bunch of guppie fry thanks to this tank.

My next adventure is I think I have danios ready to drop eggs. I filled the bottom with marbles in hopes of protecting the eggs. Now I just need to catch them all...

I also plan to put a snail or two in this so my loach doesn't eat every baby.

There isn't much to it and I really like the design. Would recommend.

squall1: The media could not be loaded.  I do love my new hang on filter so I don't regret buying it at all, however I think a few personal adjustments need to be made depending on what your using it for. I added some foam onto the water intake because I have it attached to a shrimp fry tank and I don't want any babies sucked in, and unfortunately due to my fry being tiny the grate on the water outlet was too large so fry could easily pass through into the tank. I added some foam to the outlet but unfortunately that wasn't enough and I ended up finding fry in the main tank, thankfully for me it was attached to their grow out tank so apart from shrimp there was no other fish in there to eat them but obviously that's not going to be the case for everyone. I'm going to try putting the grate inside a bit of stocking material for my next batch to see if this rectifies the problem. It is generally quite noisy so I wouldn't advise having it in a bedroom but honestly the noise doesn't bother me. It's definitely worth the money and the modifications are minute if your using it as a fry tank so I would definitely recommend
