Lanos Foldable Exercise Bike with 10-Level Magnetic Resistance for an Intense Workout

Bob Massey: Easy to assemble. Didn't have to read instructions. All parts are easily placed in right place. Took my first ride and I know I will get a lot of time on it. I hate going to the gym.
I need to get a way to mount a cup holder.

*ASSEMBLY*
Building the bike was not hard and i took my sweet time on it. So it took maybe an hour or 2.
*ISSUES*
I have 2 main issues
○ lower handles are weirdly placed and rotates even at max tightness. I might just end up removing it
○ the time tracker is a bit less than. I had my fit bit going and saw i biked for 2 hours 36 minutes (I did take a bathroom/water break at one point without stopping it) the bikes screen at the end showed "50:06" which doesnt really add up to 2:36, unless i took a wayyy longer break than i thiught i did.

Other than that I have no current issues. I do like that I dont technically need anything but the seat attached to use this. So if i want to put this with my computer or in front of my tv I dont *have* to have the monitor/handles

Gadget Guy: ASSEMBLY The first task is to assemble the bike. The bike is well packaged. However, remove the contents in a clear area. I found a nut floating around in the packing box. I also found it helpful to sit on a chair and have a short table (or upside down utility bucket) to set things on. The assembly went smoothly. It should be noted that the straps over the pedals are not marked Right and Left as stated in the instructions. Frankly, I prefer not to have the straps on the pedals anyway so this was not a problem for me.

COMMENTS: the bike has an ledge for an iPad at the bottom of the information screen, but there is no lip to prevent the iPad from slipping off the stand. I solved this problem by clipping a few metal clips to the ledge as I did not want my iPad to fall to the floor.

The bike is solid, but there could be more resistance. On the highest level, it would be helpful to have more resistance. Anyway, the bike is solid and should give me good exercise. . .

Apple: My fitness instructor recommended bikes like this one as a good entry level into biking. After having it for a while, it's now starting to show some flaws. Would still recommend as a good start.

GOOD
-Pretty good adjusting dial for both sitting and relaxed biking position.
-Dial for controlling resistance.
-Seat adjustment
-Solid metal

MEH
-Took about 2 hours to put it all together.
-The seat is not all that comfortable but will do.
-Instructions didn't say how to reset the data from previous sessions. You have to hold the button.
-The wheels are really small and do not work at all with carpet. You're better off carrying it than trying to roll it.

BAD
-The inner packaging was not ideal. When I opened the box, a few screws and washers fell out. These could've fallen out at any time given how the tape was barely holding the box closed.
-The wheel squeaks at higher resistance. Specifically 7 or higher. It never did that before, but almost a month after purchase and it's squeaking pretty loud.

Sanny: For starters, let's put this review in perspective. I'm female, over 60, with bad knees. I can manage a screwdriver, drill, and very basic maintenance and assembly, but I'm not going to build a shed or change an electrical outlet. So, when reading this review, keep that in mind.

When this arrived and I looked at the assembly diagram, I was immediately horrified. The first page of the manual shows the "exploded" diagram of the control panel, and I thought I was going to have to assemble it piece by piece! Noooooo! But no. Not the case. Really, the manufacturer shouldn't lead with that in the manual!! The box contained several major pieces, and the nuts and bolts were already in place, loosely connected. I didn't have to identify various nuts and bolts from a mixed up package. Remove the nut and bolt (and washer) from one of the parts, put the connecting piece in place, then reconnect the nut and bolt (and washer). Really, all I had to do was put the seat, bases, handlebars/screen, and pedals on the body of the bike.

The package includes an alan key and a small wrench, so I didn't even need my tool box! Woo hoo!

It is VERY VERY quiet to pedal! Almost no noise at...

P.M.L.: The bonus video that was described in the listing was not included. Contacted Lanos as instructed by Amazon but never heard back. If video showed how to put bike together it would have been helpful since there were loose nuts and bolts in the box. Illustrations in the manual were small so assembly took longer than expected. As a short person (4'11") it is challenging to get on the bike; use a stool. Have only used it in recumbent position. Once on, the bike is reasonably comfortable. Monitor does re-set but you need to put the button several times to clear everything. Bike is much heavier than I thought, but putting it on a small rug makes it easier to move around. Hoping I will be able to use it for years without problems.

Ben: FYI - this account is in my son's name, I'm just on the account and the bike is mainly for me. As others said, the tension settings are ridiculous. I am very out of shape and I found anything under 7 way too easy. Would have expected to start between 3 and 5. It only goes to 10, so I'm hoping the progress goes slowly. I guess once you get to pedalling fast at 10, you'll just have to go longer. I feel fairly certain it will take me a while to get to that point, if ever. But, knowing that, I still wanted something to help me get in better shape and hopefully shed some pounds especially since I'm very motivated right now and I don't particularly enjoy going to the gym. Just got it today (Aug. 19/21) and assembled it myself - I am a 70 yr old female and didn't find it that hard; a few frustrating moments, but was able to figure it out pretty quick. The company does have 99% of the screws already in place, so you just have to remove them, put 2 parts together and place screws right back where you got them from. Nice. Ladies, just make sure you tighten each screw well. My suggestion would be - once the bike is assembled, just give it a little shake and if anything moves easily or...
