Kyjen Outward Hound Dog Carrier Backpack

Kristen JamesKristen James: When my dog and I are out, she is always getting compliments on how she looks or how cute she is, which, ya know, her owner wouldn't mind once in awhile.. hehe. But when she is wearing her Outward Hound Kyjen Dog Backpack, forget it! She's a hit everywhere we go! Everyone loves it , ask questions about it and always asks where I bought it.

I got her the pink color in medium and she is about 30lbs; the medium fits her perfect . It makes taking walks, going on hikes, beach trips, weekend river adventures, and anywhere else we go a breeze. It's so convenient having that extra storage. Not only is it very functional, but it also is rewarding for her. Since she's a cattle dog it gives her a "job" which cattle dogs need, being in the "working dogs" category. So everytime she wears her backpack, she knows how important she is and makes her very happy. She absolutely loves wearing it.

Jared I.Jared I.: This was a great purchase. I have a 90 pound Rottweiler and a 50 pound Australian Shepherd and I was really hoping that I could get one backpack that would fit both of them, so they can share it to give them breaks on hikes and since both of them don't always come on adventures together. Much to my surprise, the large backpack fits both of them wonderfully! Its just a little big on my aussie but not too bad at all, I think the medium would have been too small for her. The pockets are HUGE! which is great but please: only put a maximum of 15% of your dogs body weight on them to carry. These pockets can easily hold more than 15%, so be careful.

I realllllllly love that the backpack part can come off of the harness so quickly and easily, that really helps when we stop and I want to give my dog a break or if there is a water source that I don't want my Rottie dragging and rolling the backpack in- he Really Loves Water. Im sure the backpack could get wet and stay on fine but I just want to keep it at least a little clean. It seems very sturdy and stays on when my insane Rottie rips through brush, trees, you name it. It still looks brand new (besides some dirt).

Le chien s y fait très vite parfait quand il est tenu en laisse , trop instable si le chien court , les scratch permettent d ôter les sacoches sans ôter le harnais ce qui est très pratiqué.

Guy pon: Super one of my dogs is always distract by everything when we take a walk i decide to buy that backpack after listening the cesar millan tv show when a dog have the same problem the second I put this on my dog she was like .. laser focus on the walk I put the stuff poop bag (empty !!), water bottle, treats, etc It look nice it's very resistant the only thing you have to watch be sure to balance the weight of your stuff on both side of the bag otherwise your dog will have a hard time to walk straight ahead ;)

Michelle: Very well made and sized. Easy to adjust once you get the hang of it. Sit well when it is balanced and adjusted to fit. I purchased a large for my 70lb Australian/German shepherd cross and she loves it. She looks so proud wearing it and carrying my/her stuff around.

Mina Grey: I Bought this pack because I love taking my dogs to the park but hate carrying all their wears. I do like this pack ad would buy it again because it is great for the price, however there are a few things that have bothered me about it.
Pros: Large, It can fit a lot in its pouches including a small metal dog dish.
Removal pack, this feature comes in handy. I was able to keep my dog cool by stuffing an ice pack under the vest and could take the weight off of him. The remaining vest also made a lot of people think he was a service dog which comes in handy when you don't want to be constantly bothered.
Sturdy construction, now I have only had this pack for a short time but it looks and feels like it will hold up for a while.
Pockets opening, the pockets have a large opening and its easy to get everything in and out of them.

Cons: Large, although it is good that it can hold a lot it also feels a bit bulky
Not overly secure, you really have to make sure it is balanced or it easily sags to one side and make sure you replace the pack perfectly centered. If you tighten the back strap to prevent it I feel like it becomes too tight for the dogs comfort. You can actually...
