D. DawsonD. Dawson: So I actually really like the design of the pack. My 10 month old G Shep was out growing his other pack and wanted one with larger pockets so thought this one would be perfect. Pockets are nice and roomy (fit 4 bottles of water in each). I got him the XL but think the L would have been plenty big...XL is a little loose with straps all the way tight but will grow into. I had seen another comment about the stitching coming loose but no issue until yesterday...normally just walking when wearing but he took a couple dashes around the yard and sure enough one pocket is starting to come loose. Looks like they need to use a stronger thread. Easy fix so still giving 4 stars. Hopefully the manufacturer with see the feedback and make the small change to vinyl / heavy duty thread.
Update! So the pockets finally gave out on us after about 9 months of regular use...developed a rip in the bottom of one of the pockets - not easily repairable since tore the fabric vs just the seam coming loose. Dropping this to 3 stars due to lack of durability. If just for walks and light loads it will do fine but if you dog has a tendency to jump or run with it on it will tear. Wish was better materials...

J Akes: We purchases one of these many years ago from a local store and it has held up very well so we decided to purchase additional packs for hiking with multiple dogs. Is great for burning up some excess energy on high energy dogs. We place chilled water bottles (20oz size) bottles in the packs to help keep the dogs cool and a collapsible water bowl for keeping them hydrated during our hikes. Is the perfect size for having them carry their own food while primitive camping and their water and collapsible dishes. We purchased the medium because these tend to run a bit large and they fit all of our pack the smallest being 38 lbs the largest is 82 lbs dog. The girth, belly and chest strap are adjustable and it has additional padding at the latch points to keep them from chaffing our dogs. The handle on the back makes them easy to grab and go when we are headed out the door and our dogs took to them very quickly. Just make sure to evenly distribute the weight when using them. We make adjustments to the packed material when we stop for water breaks. If you want an affordable option for a backpack for your high energy dog this is the pack for you. Is not indestructible but so far we have had...

Michael: Overall, this product has done my 68 lb Boxer/Husky well. I was a little nervous after reading some other reviews but am still hopeful that, as with many products, sometimes you draw the short stick and get a defective item. So far, I have not drawn the short stick. This might be because I am using the product as it is designed and not doing such actions as attaching a leash to the handle (not built for that).
Negatives:
- Wyatt, my dog, does get a little hot on my back and sides despite the mesh but this is going to happen whenever you place something over an area on a dog or even ourselves. Therefore, I do not see this as a major negative but some might.
- The sizing chart provided is not the best guide for all dogs. I say this because Wyatt is very tone and his weight is muscle, not fat and therefore, I think I should have maybe ordered a smaller size. I am able to tighten it up without hurting him but the rear portion does move a small amount. Because of that, I would not recommend doing long hikes or any amount of running with this item. I only state this due to the fact that, like humans, friction can harm an animal or at least make them unhappy. I know I...

Avi Goodman.: I was apprehensive about purchasing this, not knowing if it was going to fit my Rottweiler. As it turns out, it fits her just fine, with room to grow.... which I hope she doesn't. 110 lbs is just fine for me. When we go shooting she carries my spare ammo, and when we go hiking/camping she can carry her own food, water bowl, SOME of her own water, and misc. items such as car keys and my cell phone. The reason it received 4 stars instead of the full 5, is because of it's general construction. Zippers, seams, etc. It's not bad, it's rather good.... but 5 stars is the absolute most anyone could POSSIBLY give, and I don't put out like that without a fight. I'm a former IDF soldier and I know what 5 star construction quality is from the gear I carried. I'm very happy with my purchase of this item, if I had it to do again, I would.... it's sturdy enough for common and typical practices.... but to be worthy of 5 stars it would have to be rugged enough to go in to combat with me which this falls short of.

Kelsey: Love this backpack, is just slightly big on my 32lb dog (she is very thin) but it still works great. Can fit water bottles, etc in the pouches which gives her extra work out. Perfect for hiking and looks adorable. She doesn't mind it at all.
