ThisIsNice: Purchased this smart lock for the door leading to the garage for $77. Hardest part of the installation was tucking in the extra cable inside the bottom of the interior housing. The cable/connector rubs against the turnpiece shaft.

Scott: Rating this due to the installation and setup procedure. We have barely begun using it - but so far so good.
The Kwikset app made it easy to follow the step by step instructions based on answering questions and taking a couple of measurements.
It was easy to then re-key the lock to our existing manual key, establish links to my smartphone, set up additional users and another administrator, and establish our default entrance code.
The app is intuitive and straightforward for unlocking and locking via the app.
Impressed - it took a little over an hour to remove the old lock and install the lock and the user accounts.

K. Lomeli: Installing this was easy, sort of. Some of the screws are really small and you have to finagle the pieces to get the holes lined up.
Be ware, this lock requires the depth of the hole for the deadbolt to be 1”. That is a lot of wood being removed from the door frame. If you don’t have that depth, you will continually be told the lock is jammed. I had 3/4” and had to bore out a deeper hole.
If the depth is correct and everything is level and lines up well, the lock moves smoothly, with moderate noise.
There is no way this has a Bluetooth range of 100 ft. I can only connect with the device if I was standing in front of it when outside my home. It would not allow me to be at any angle from it, such as standing on my driveway. If I am inside my home, I have 20’ range and no obstructions.
Setting up pass codes is easy. As for longevity, I don’t know. For an inexpensive lock, without bells and whistles, I would recommend it.

veronykainca: I am glad I bought this, as one of my kids often forgets to lock the door and I sometimes leave before they do. I set the auto- lock and never worry if things are locked. We can get in even if we forget our keys, which is important when you have kids. The only drawback is that you must be in range of the lock's Bluetooth to operate the app. I was hoping to control it from anywhere but that's my fault for not seeing it in the description. It's also a little noisy but that's minor compared to knowing my home is locked no matter what. It definitely is worth the price in my opinion.

Pero al usar la cerradura es algo lenta y hace ruido, además de “moverse”, si la ajusto más para fijarla ya no se puede retraer. Y el primer día probándola ya se atoró un par de veces, así que no inspira confianza.

Jackie: Honestly, I have a million nice things to say about this lock. It is really nice looking. It was easy to install. I love having the multiple key options and to be honest the batteries lasted a long time considering how long ago I installed this. I got this in May 2022 and now it is October 2023 and my batteries have finally given out.
My biggest complaint about this lock is the Bluetooth feature. It only works if you’re really within 5 feet of the door and even then it didn’t give me a low battery warning so I was stuck outside in the rain with my two dogs at 10pm when it died and I couldn’t get into my house. It would be nice if there was some fail safe like it won’t lock if it’s low on battery life to avoid this issue for customers.

maude: solo la puedes configurar si tienes un numero de celular americano, yo tengo uno con la aplicacion de Magic Jack en mi celular asi que lo usé super facil de configurar sin ningun problema, se actualizó, hasta ahorita todo bien.
