Chris A: Very well packaged with clear installation instructions. Very easy to install correctly on the door - I took my time but had the lock functional including paired with my Wink hub and Alexa within 30 min. Only problem I experienced was that the keys supplied with the lock did not work. It was an open box discounted unit from Amazon and I suspect that the person who bought it the first time messed with the SmartKey re-keying feature and messed it up so the keys didn't work before returning it. Lock works great anyway without a physical key (hey, that's the whole point!) but given that it would be nice to have one in an emergency I called Kwikset and the very helpful customer support agent overnighted a new cylinder with matching keys to me - great customer service!! I had tried multiple retrofit smart locks but returned them all as they didn't work for one reason or another with my door and existing hardware (plus they all looked big and weird on the inside of the door). This is a complete solution that works great out of the box, is easy to set up and looks great too! The only thing I wish this had was a management app that would let you enter / activate /...

Amazon Customer: Very nice product. Seems very solid. Finish is very nice, buttons are easy to push. LED on the inside is a nice addition to know if the door is locked or not. Z-WAVE functionality works great with Almond+ controller. Maybe my own fault for not researching further, but it only comes with flush mount screw in strike-bolt assembly. I required the drive in strike assembly. Over all a great product!

R. Patten:
I have been using 3 of the Kwikset 910 z-wave locks and they are working great. The install is easy enough, and the ability to rekey the lock has been very nice. I did have an issue with one of the locks during the install. Of course it was the last one so i thought i had the thing figured out and assumed i would have it in in about 5 minutes, which is totally possible when everything works right. However, after installing the unit, I pressed the lock button with the door open, and sounded a if it was jammed and the bolt would not come out. Then I tried to manually lock the bolt, and it would lock but it took a little too much effort, and there was a catch that you had to push past. The only way I can describe it is like pulling a trigger. You take up the slack till you fell the wall, then I would apply a little more pressure to break through the glass wall. The solution was to flip the bolt and put the lever in the lower position before installing. Now it works great, the latch is in a different position than the other two doors, but who cares.
I have used these with both the Wink hub V1 and the SmartThings Hub V2, I switched to SmartThings for Google...

Brad Masterson:
Integrated well with Veralite controller with ui7.
Easy to setup and control. Codes can be entered from the Vera interface, alerts can be defined and auto lock times can be set. The door lock needs zwave controller and is not remote controlable without it, but you can manually enter codes on the keypad without a zwave controller.

Caddo Flying: The Kwikset 910 deadbolt lock with Z-Wave technology has worked very well for my application. I am using the lock with my DMP 50 security system. Once properly programmed on the DMP unit end, the lock functions as described by it literature. We did find that in order for the lock and the system to recognize each other for programming, the lock electronic unit must be brought to within about 10 feet or less of the DMP 50 "motherboard" unit. Plan on this initial programming taking a while to transfer to the lock. Say 30 minutes or more. Once properly programmed, the lock will work as it should. Distance from the DMP system unit is important, as is battery condition. Things work well, with proper Z-Wave handshaking and commands and status being passed properly for perhaps a month. Once my lock batteries fell below 1.3 volts each, the Z-Wave operation became erratic. The lock itself was still functioning fine, electronically locking and so forth, but it would not communicate with the system unit. Replacing the batteries with fresh ones solved that immediately. While originally not in favor of the concept, my family now likes having this lock. No more...

Jon Hart: Tried everything to get it to connect, using Z-wave, to my Ring alarm, including some random suggestions that relate to similar devices.
Manufacturer’s support documents are woefully inadequate. It’s now on its way back.
