TedTed: Well made, works great, very nice looking. Feels quite solid. Glad I didn't buy a no-name brand.

It fit our need perfectly as we no longer carry house keys and have been relying only on the garage door opener. If we ever came home during a power outage we'd be out of luck. I like the self-locking feature. Just installed a few weeks ago so we'll see how long the batteries last.

rak108: This was really easy to install and I liked it because I could buy matching door knobs for my doors. The rekey feature is awesome but I haven't had to use that yet. It works great and I like the low profile. This is one of the more affordable options but the quality is great and has help up well over the last year.

Alex V.Alex V.: I’m very pleased with the unit! The installation was ok, the electronic connectors are quite small and can bend easily so I recommend you use very good lighting and maybe a magnifying glass.
Note to all users to make sure the dead bolt you currently use is set up to travel in and out without binding or rubbing in any way or you’ll get an error! I had to move my plate so the dead bolt traveled freely. Lastly, instruct all users not to turn the door handle before unlocking the dead bolt because doing so might cause the door to shift slightly so that the dead bolt binds against the plate it’s supposed to go into. Having said all this this combination dead bolt works like any others using a key. If you go on vacation you can disable all codes temporarily. We opted to not have it automatically lock itself as it would be annoying…

Danny Sullivan: This digital deadbolt was easy to install and set up. We were rekeying our whole house and wanted something that was simple and effective. The “smartkey” setup is nice because you can buy whatever individual pieces of hardware and then rekey everything. We did the digital deadbolt and a standard keyed knob at the entry, and did a simple keyed knob at the a garage. It took us 30 minutes to do all three and rekey them.

For the digital lock-
-MC is the master code. This is the code to reset your password, ad users, etc..
-UC is the user code. This is the code you type in to unlock the door.

They both do different things, and you need them both. I wouldn’t recommend making them the same, but I suppose you probably could.

Chad: Full disclosure, this review is for a relatively short term use to date, however it's been great so far. I love the quick re-key feature, it's already cut the amount of keys necessary for daily life as I just reused a key I already had that happened to fit the lock. The electronic deadbolt feature works very well. I'm replacing a Weiser Powerbolt 2 (it's quite old and something inside the lock turning mechanism got worn out due to friction between the deadbolt and receiver in the wall) and that is one of my gripes with this lock. I live in the Canadian prairies; it's freaking cold in winter! The mechanism is painfully slow compared to the Weiser. Now whether that's due to the cold or if it's inherently slow I don't know as I haven't owned it long enough to try it in warm weather, but either way it's not a deal breaker. It's still quicker than digging your keys out of your pocket and turning the lock the old fashioned way. The other gripe I have is that the button input has to be slow and concise in order for the lock to accept it. It's just a minor pain in the rear, but it's worth mentioning. In short; I'm happy with the performance, it's relatively quiet, has a lot of good...
