ComfyShoeMaven: Note: I've rated this on what I would have thought about it had it not come broken, and if the lights had worked.

I wanted a new tree topper, and really liked the design and the colors. Although I would prefer a battery-operated one, I was OK with having to plug it in. I ordered a "Used Like New" one from the Amazon Warehouse, from which I've had mostly great luck with used items. However, this was sent anchored to a box that had no cover, and was then mailed in an envelope. One of the pieces of the star was broken, which, seeing how it was packaged, was no surprise.

Since it looks the same on both sides, I said, "Well, I'll just have the good side facing the room, and that'll be OK." Then, I plugged it in and nothing happened. I plugged it in to three different outlets, and it still didn't work. So, back it goes. Since this was my third order attempt for this, I decided to try something else. So, I ordered a pretty red star with batteries and a timer, and it's great.

Be aware that the price on this fluctuates almost daily. On any give day, it's $27, then $39, then $45, and then back to $27. Just keep checking daily if you want to try for the cheapest price. I...

Melanie: I bought this capiz shell tree-topper because it reminded me of traditional Christmas lanterns in the Philippines called parol. But when it arrived, it was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It looks ridiculously tiny on top of my 7' tree and it's dwarfed by my snowflake lights on my tree which are bigger and shine brighter. I don't think the product is worth the price.

ChristianChristian: It is sort of what I was looking for in appearance. It does look nice atop the tree. It is of less quality than I expected but it does the job. I hope the light set lasts multiple seasons. It seems like it is made of a cheaper plastic or thin acrylic. Mine came with one of the star tips bent a bit. All in all it is fairly cheap but it does look beautiful on the tree so I don't feel bad about it.
