The above description was what I found while looking for another replacement hose for my LG Portable Air Conditioner for my guest rooms. When I measured the original hose, the diameter was 5 ¾ inches. When I saw the 5.9” in the description, I was sure the diameter of the hose was going to be to big to fit my LG A/C unit. I had no choice, but to order it and somehow try to make some kind of adjustments or if worst comes to worst, even use ducktape to attach it to my A/C. As it turned out, the 5.9” diameter hoses fit perfectly to my LG A/C which I have had for the last 5 to 10 years. The original hoses are made of plastic so after being used and having to endure the heat generated from the A/C, the plastic will get brittle and start to crack when extending the accordion folds. I do not know how long the Kraflex Portable Air Conditioner Hose will hold up, but it is nice that the replacement hose that fits the LG A/C is still available. Susan F.: I pulled out my portable a/c unit from the closet as the weather was getting warm and discovered that sitting so long in the closet the plastic had broken down and the tube was falling apart. Amazon to the rescue the next day with this new hose that fit perfectly and I was spared another night of grief!

Mildly Artistic: Bought to replace my pipe from a portable a/c unit I bought on amazon years ago which has deformed over time from it falling out or being pulled put. This one seems sturdier as it has the metal wiring but obviously don't start bashing it about. I didnt really know what the reverse anti clockwise stuff was about but I took a risk and ordered the anti clockwise (cheaper one) and this worked fine, I don't think it particularly matters to be honest as I can screw it either way into mine!

Doyle Thompson: The will not last to long. I had one 110v a/c on the patio for 7 years. Had to buy a tube after each summer season. The literally cannot hold up to constant exhaust heat. They become brittle. So, I bought a 18,000btu (220v) window air unit. Works great and can put out three times the air of a 110v unit.

Wayne Moakes: Bought this to replace the way too short extraction hose supplied with my Delonghi EM90 PAC.

The quality of the hose seems to be as good the original one it replaced and fitting was as simple as unscrewing the attachments from the old one and screwing them on to this new one.
