m: The things I don't like:

When you turn the alarm off, it automatically turns itself back on for the next morning. So I thought for the weekend I just wouldn't set the alarm, but you actually have to manually turn it off every night that you don't want to get up early. I've forgotten to do this many times because it's counter-intuitive and it's ruined my plans for sleeping in.

Even worse: The radio tuner has a bizarre design. It has program memory like your car radio, so you can save your favorite stations. There are two ways to set it. Automatically - it will scan through the radio and save all of the stations that come in clearly, but it's first-come first-saved. So it starts filling the memory slots with the low numbers and it runs out of slots before it gets up to 100.1 or so. It also skips over some stations that actually come in quite clearly when you seek it manually. So the other option is to set them manually, but it takes so long that I gave up. You have to press and hold down the tuner button and wait a second for it to move up one station higher, then you have to let go, and then press and hold it again to get up to the next. Jeannie: I bought my first Jiaxan radio as a replacement for an outdated, lesser quality radio. I use a radio to help me sleep; when I awaken I want to listen to a NPR news station. The Jiaxan US is perfect! The clock light can be adjusted, the radio stations are clear and the pre-set process for stations is super simple. The clock/radio allows for 30 stations, which is well beyond what I can actually pick up locally. I have recently bought a second Jiaxan for my mother's bedside table. I highly recommend this product.

NavySpy: Bought this clock radio for its digital tuner since my ancient analog clock radio kept "drifting" off the frequency I wanted. And it works very well for that. The LED display is large & VERY bright but that's not important to me since I use the radio in my workshop and not in a bedroom. That said, the LED brightness is adjustable. The sound quality is limited by the physical size of the speaker but, again, that's not especially important to me. It's clear enough for my purposes. Oh, by the way, there's no real wood -- it's just plastic. Highly recommended.

PA PCD: We bought two of these for bedroom use. Initial impressions out of the box is good. Appearance is quite good, as pictured. The size is almost exactly the same as my iPhone 8S turned on its side. The display is clear and pretty large, very easy to read from across a room. The clock function is very good. The infinitely variable dimmer is a GREAT feature so you can really customize that for your liking. Two independently programmable alarms - check. 12hr or 24hr time display is nerdy but nice to have. Clock gets a 5/5 rating from us.

Radio is a mixed bag. First of all, the radio itself (FM only) seems to have a very sensitive receiver. Usually this is a desirable feature in a radio. More sensitivity means it will tune in stations that are weaker or more far away that you might want to listen to. Unfortunately this is not an advantage in this particular radio. The reason for that is the radio only has 20 memory channels, which are programmed automatically using a bottom of the band-up scan by the radio itself. If you live in an area that has more than 20 reasonably strong FM stations, then you will fill all of the memory slots before you reach the top...
