It is so soft that you can wrap it around the heel or knee. It is the perfect size. Not only the ice is flexible, the blue fabric is soft to touch and feels so much better than plastic. Now it has a permanent spot in my fridge while my heel heals. Best ice pack ever!

SolaPowered: I have some very active kids that are always running around outside and inevitably they gang into something. This cold pack is very flexible and comfortable even when very frozen, so it helps not only numb the injury, but calm them down. Impressive feel and quality.

Kimberly: These ice packs are really comfortable and flexible and they're a great size for a headache or lower backache. They don't stay cold for a super long time like some harder ice packs might so I would recommend getting or using a cover to insulate them a bit. Also, since there are 2 of them, you can alternate to keep a cold one available. I had originally bought them to have one at home and one at work but I keep them together now for this reason. They are also exceptionally sturdy; the material feels thick and strong so I don't foresee them breaking or tearing.

Rebecca: I gave myself frostbite with this! The instructions say they are different than other ice packs since they don't have a gel that softens them. Well, that continuous cold really lasts! I was icing my back by lying on one of these after a day of hiking and probably left it on bare skin longer than I normally would. After I took it off, the skin was pale white and shiny hard, like plastic (at first I thought there was somehow a plastic film I had forgotten to remove). As a girl that grew up in the North, I recognized frost bite. Once I rewarmed the area, it turned red and inflamed. (Just an FYI, frostbite doesn't do permanent damage unless the skin turns black - this is not that!)
That being said, that was user error. I shouldn't have had it on direct skin and I shouldn't have been lying on it for so long. Good news is that they stay cold a long time. Would purchase again, but just be careful!

Elle B.: These hold the cold for a decent length of time. However, the frost that builds up is not okay. I wrap it in a towel and that's okay. They are a bit rigid and are difficult to fit on my head, which is what I got them for. It is convenient to have one in use and the other on standby. I wish they were a little bit bigger. No big problems and for the price, they are okay. I do with there was a strap.
