I bought an older home with an older carpet with a weird spot that smelled odd and was all bunched up. I have pets and didn’t want them getting any ideas, so I shampooed the daylights out of the carpet. Love my Kirby, and this shampoo worked well. It took a couple passes over the weird spot (but just a normal pass over the rest) and now the carpet is fluffy and clean smelling.

The reason I gave it four stars is because Amazon won't post anything lower than one star. I asked for lavender scent and some disgusting soapy scent. Really sickening smell.
