Amazon Customer: Requires a LOT of heat to turn fast enough to actually circulate air. They do have a double blade model that will probably do a better job but we aren’t putting on top of a wood stove so that might have something to do with it. But the fact it transfers heat energy into electric is really cool and it’s silent. I might void the warranty by trying to modify it to charge a cell phone since the stove we have it on is always at temperature and they fan is always turning.

Sam I Am in VA: We ordered this fan after seeing a demon online. Didn’t have the wood burner on until the power was knocked in by Winter Storm Frida. At first sight you don’t see the power in this little fan but but it’s perfect to move the heat. Also, it doesn’t require electricity to work. As the heat from the wood burner rises and the air above it gets hotter. The fan moves based on the heated air. It adds directional movement to the heated air. The wood stove coupled with this little fan kept us warm and cozy for 4 very cold days and nights without power. Great investment!

Soup Sandwich: I purchased one of these a month ago, similar from a different vendor (there seem to be a hundred versions out there) and was so impressed with it I decided to buy a second one for even more air movement with my propane wall heater. The original vendor showed as "currently unavailable" on their version for a couple of weeks after selling out so I bit the bullet and read a ton of reviews for different fans to narrow down which one I thought would be comparable. Welp. This one wasn't it for me. The first time I put it up and switched the heater on, it started up beautifully along with the other fan in about 3-4 minutes. Spinning like crazy, I could feel the heat moving, so happy! The heater cycled down and so did the fans, and then I eventually noticed later that day that the newer fan wasn't starting up anymore when the heater came on. First fan continued working great, this one I had to help the blades start moving and then it was going at maybe half the speed/strength. So I boxed it up, saw that the original fan is back but not shipping until late January, and I will patiently wait for that one to arrive. These are not cheap and I consider this an investment for (hopefully) a few...

R Millsap: My wood stove is in a corner of the living room. It does a great job of putting out heat when you're close to it, but less so farther away. The previous owner had one of these fans, so I thought I would give one a try.

I positioned it on top of the stove keeping it in a spot that wouldn't get too hot for it's maximum temp rating. It starts by itself a few minutes after the fire starts. It increases speed with the heat and circulates the warm air better than I expected.

The copper color blades look awesome too. The thermometer is nice as well. It's also quiet. The sound of the fire is louder than this fan. I hope it lasts.
