Corey: I bought this for an 8 year old's birthday and I'm happy to report that they love it! I get updates on what level they've reached and their competition with their siblings. Their parents haven't complained about (or even mentioned) the volume, so I would think it's ok, but I didn't rate that category since I didn't hear it first hand. I'd recommend this for anyone looking to find an interactive gift that helps a child burn off some energy.

Megan F.: We’ve only used this twice and have had the change the batteries each time. There should be an auto shut off option but regardless its crazy to have to use four AA every time at this point. Will see if today for sure if my kids forgot to shut it off or just how the toy operates.

They do enjoy playing with it however. Had played with a friends who had better sounding music

UPDATE: seller contacted me to make good on what turned out to be a defect in my product. They tried to first trouble shoot and sent me a new item which after three days of keeping the battery in, did not drain! I have updated my rating to reflect this as I originally had a defective version. Great customer service!

P. Marsh: I gave this dance mat a 4 because while it lasted my grandkids loved it. It was seriously hours of entertainment. However, after only 5 uses when we turned it on it gave off a squealing noise. My husband, never to give up on a kids toy, opened up the electronic component and 6 wires had come detached. Lots of disappointment that day and we will attempt to fix it but definitely not an easy fix.

The built in dance games are so much fun for the kids and the Bluetooth capability is great! You can connect your device and dance to music of your choice! Leslie: I got this item on sale so for the price I paid I am definitely not mad at the functions of the mat! The Mat has a Bluetooth option so you can connect your phone to it and play you’re own music! The music that is already generated onto the mat is pretty loud in volume however the Bluetooth feature is not as loud but it’s still pretty good. I would show a video but in currently at a friends house so I don’t have the mat with me lol. I am 17 and use the mat perfectly fine too so it really has no age limit, it’s a better fit use for smaller feet but even with my big feet I don’t really have a issue with it. It also helps break a sweat so a good way to get some exercise in. It also has a little voice that talks when you either make to many mistakes or when you level up which can be a little annoying cause it interrupts your music but I mean it’s not that big of a deal. I saw someone say that for the green arrow you have to make a little more effort to press on it and mines was the same at the beginning but as I used it more it softened up. You can also fold the mat and because it’s not super big you can easily put it away so it’s not just out in the open :)
