Grandpa B: I mount this CO alarm in my camper van for road trips. When we're doing a motel to motel car trip it goes with us. I slip a little piece of thick paper over the + end of one of the 3 required AAA batteries when packing into the suitcase - just so the alarm doesn't go off inadvertently!

not4u13: The Kidde brand is well respected in home safety and these carbon monoxide detectors seem to do a great job. I really like the fact that they can detach from the wall-mounted base and taken with you, as some hotels and resorts outside the US don't have such devices. The instructions and installation were simple. It's great to have a display show the actual amount of CO detected and it can even record and show the high-water mark. Neat feature.

Tony R: I use this in a van. I run a heater and have two of these to make absolutely sure I wake up and don't die of CO poisoning. Have never had a problem with either of them. The display of CO level is really nice to give you confidence it's working. I've tested them by letting some exhaust in and the reading does reflect the increased levels. The low battery alarm is annoying enough you won't ignore it which is a good thing in my opinion.

Mario Hernandez Silva: No sé si algo está mal con el aparato pero le puse pilas nuevas y en menos de 3 días ya me marcaba pila baja. Volví a colocar nuevas pilas y me pasó lo mismo. Ahorita lo tengo sin usar porque me va a dejar pobre estarle comprando pilas 3 veces por semana.

Mariana Tapia: En la descripción mencionan que la alarma mide la cantidad de CO en el ambiente pero no dicen en ningún lado que tiene solamente lee de 30 PMM para arriba y con una exactitud de +/- 30 PMM. No marca nada, lo puse en la cochera cerrada con el coche prendido y no mide nada... Dice 0 constantemente. No lo recomiendo nada.

El botón de prueba me parece muy útil para checar su funcionamiento semal, el sonido es bastante fuerte... aunque creo que como dice en las instrucciones es necesario uno para cada piso de la casa. El precio se me hizo muy accesible y acorde a la calidad del producto.
Hasta ahora no he probado la sensibilidad del aparato, pero he encontrado como hacer la prueba en internet... lo revisaré pronto
